Way overpriced but meets my requirements and the dogs like it.
Switched to lamb dry dog food due to skin allergies. Getting away from all that hormone-stuffed chicken. Dog’s rash does seem better and this food seems easy to digest. Now if they would just realize that not just wealthy people care about their pets, we’d really have something! I would probably give this food 5 stars if it was more affordable. One concern: sounds like they use food ingredients from around the world. I have no idea whether or not that means toxic ingredients from china. I assume not. I hope I’m right!!! The dogs haven’t gotten sick after eating this stuff for several years so I think that’s a good sign. FYI, our dogs really like this lamb food. They seem to regard it as a treat. This food is what I have in my little reward pouch for training and I’ve gotten all positive tail wags about it.
What are these things?!
Ive been feeding my dogs this food for a few months because my younger dog needed more fiber in his diet and this has the highest fiber content on the market. They love it so it all worked out. I reordered 2 bags and when I put them food tonight I noticed these sharp things in the kibble!. They are not soft at all. One even stuck in my finger when I tried to bend it. I've already contacted Chewy for a refund and I will be contacting the company itself because this is inexcusable. Please check your dogs food before feeding.
Disappointed
Was recommended this brand for quality and price. I was looking for a light dog food to help with weight gain. Unfortunately, my dogs really dislike it. I've notice no smell which tells me it's bland and tasteless. I'm currently looking for a new dog food while my dogs vocalize their dislike everyday. Really loved the Wellness brand salmon flavor but they were gaining too much weight.
They Like it!
We have 2 miniature Schnauzers and a GSD. They have been on different foods and were all having what appeared to be weight and allergy issues. We have transitioned to this food and they seem to be doing better. They like the flavor and we like that it has less fat and that it's not chicken. Time will tell how they do longer term, but so far, so good.
Great for our motley crew!
We have dogs ranging from super senior to young, short and sunny and big and tall. This food fits the bill for them all! The sodium/phosphorus levels are a bit lower too so that helps our pups with kidney issues.
Great food for dogs with food allergies
My GSD is allergic to 8 food items that are usually found in most dog foods. This food has very limited ingredients and my dog loves it.
Great for Mini Schnauzers
We have 2 mini schnauzers. One got severe pancreatitis after being on a high quality food with fish oil in it. Thought I was helping his itchy skin, which is due to environmental allergies. However, over the years, it proved to be too high fat for his pancreas. Vet said to put them both on the lowest fat food I could find. Diamond Naturals was it and continues to be the lowest fat. It's been 5 years and not a single issue with either of our dogs. We hope Diamond Naturals continues this formula for a very long time.
Great Food
I was looking for a budget friendly weight loss food for my dog. This food is a winner! He loves it and has started losing weight.
5 star for dog food
This is the only low fat and ingredient deck my dog can have. There is no substitute out there. I have Diamond Naturals "LIGHT" Lamb meal and Rice dog food on autoship every 3 weeks. My issue has now become supply shortage and "Out of Stock" thru Chewy leaving me scrambling to find elsewhere before running out. Chewy doesn't reserve product inventory for autoships orders pior to non-auto ships. Very disappointed and will need to hopefully find a reliable source or start hording this food. I'm feeding my two large dogs and also order this for my brother's large dog. All three love it and healthy on it!
