  • not sure why you'd eat it

    By on Top 50 Contributor

I use this to treat for fleas... I apply to an area, and vaccuum up. I use small amounts and I intentionally leave it in floorboards and beneath carpets, or deep in them. That's where it works best to desiccate insects! Not sure why you'd eat it, it's just crushed lime shells/calcium. Seems risky to add to already balanced foods. I've never put it in my litter box, but I might consider it... though I'd be worried about my cats inhaling the dust.

  • Excellent for our feral cat colony!

    By on

I researched this product here, looking for something to help our backyard feral cat colony with fleas, skin irritation, etc. *We've seen results within the first day!* Mixed with their food as recommended, and also massaged in a palm sized amount into the fur and skin of Dasher, the cat who's worse. The very same day, we noticed remarkable improvement in his constant scratching, gnawing at himself. Drastically reduced by 90%! All the cats are eating it fine, mixed with extra wet food. A miracle so far! Highly recommend!

  • Not for the finicky

    By on

My cats are finicky. Buying this stuff was a waste. I gave it to my sister that uses it for whatever she uses it for. I've lost 3 pets in the past 8 months, and just want my babies to be healthy. I thought that maybe I could introduce this to my rescues, but they won't have it. If your pets are picky then I don't recommend this, but pets are not all the same. What mine refuse might be something someone else pet accepts.

  • Still have a flea problem

    By on Top 250 Contributor

We ordered a 5 lbs bag back in October on recommendation from a family member and because of the majority of wonderful reviews. Another reason we got the 5 lbs bag was because it was big enough to spread all over the house and yard multiple times but we're still have issues with fleas. At the time of use it may have killed a few of them but it's not for certain as it's now January and our household is still suffering pretty bad. We've tried pretty much everything to get rid of these fleas and haven't found anything that works for us. The dust is pretty terrible for all of us as well. I'm still pulling out the dust from my vacuum (at this point should just buy a new one) and we've had to change We ordered a 5 lbs bag back in October on recommendation from a family member and because of the majority of wonderful reviews. • Good stuff!

I’ve been using this on my plants and the slugs are eating elsewhere. It doesn’t hurt my dog which is 100% wonderful in my mind. I really like the consistency. It’s very easy to spread!

  • Diatomaceous Earth

    By on

We have been using this as both an internal and external product! Our cats have improved their food consumption without as much vomiting, afterwards, and their general health and feeding habits have improved, even in as little as 3 days after feeding! The dogs have eaten more of their usual amount, and seem to be tolerating the addition to their diet! I have also sprinkled it on the carpet, dog and cat beds, and even the animals, themselves! It seems to be working, as flea combing is producing fewer and fewer live fleas!

  • The Best Kept Secret!

    By on

A great chemical free flea treatment! Put some in your palms and rub it in their fur. Sprinkle some around baseboards, the powder sticks to the flea and kills it. We were infested, used this stuff, within a couple weeks, nearly flea free! I also put it on my cat's food, they love it! My cats even have less smelly poops. Safe for humans too, tastes better than baking soda for upset stomach. I suggest research, it's amazing stuff!!

  • Wide Range of Uses!

    By on

This is a wonderful product with a wide range of uses that I would highly recommend for anyone dealing with any sort of bug problem. Since it's food grade, it's safe for pets. Just be careful not too use too much since it can dry out their skin and paws if overused. It doesn't work instantly, but it can kill fleas, roaches, bedbugs and possibly intestinal worms with a -light- sprinkling over their food. You can sprinkle it over the carpets and work it in with a broom and use a flea comb to work a light coat into your pets fur to kill fleas, eggs and larvae.

  • Works Great But Can Cause Dust Problems

    By on

I was having a flea problem with my 2 cats & 1 very young puppy. It was a full time job to keep the fleas at bay & I was loosing the war. I purchased this product & saved myself a lot of money having the house professionally bombed. I sprinkled this liberally on all my carpets & left on for 2 days. I can't stress enough that you need to use a shop vac to clean this product up. I tried to use my regular vacuum & DE flew everywhere. I purchased a shop vac & low & behold it was cleaned up in no time. I had to wait for the cloud of DE to settle before I cleaned & will have to dust all the furniture again in a few days. Lesson learned-----the hard way! I will be repeating the process every I was having a flea problem with my 2 cats & 1 very young puppy.
