We would not recommend picking up any type of feces with Dirt Devil products. If any of it gets stuck inside the machine, it can cause the entire machine to smell. It could also get into the motor and cause unwanted damage.
Is it good for picking up fur on carpet

It's got kick!

I wanted a plug in/corded hand held like this because I don't like having to charge things and later worry about disposing of a lithium battery. Anyways, this one is POWERFUL. It literally gives a little bit of a kickback when you turn it on. I have to remind myself to hold firmly lol. I have only used it twice but have been amazed at the amount of gunk and junk and cat hair it picked up. Cleaning out the canister was strangely satisfying. It does get warm after a few minutes of use, but not hot. I really like this product. Only super nit picky complaint would be that there isn't really a tidy way to store the cord when not in use.

Good

“Lengthy power cord” for stairs is not accurate if you don’t have an outlet right next to the top and bottom of your steps. Wish it was actually “lengthy”. Other than that, it works great!

Good vacuum, but very loud!

I bought this to replace a very old Dustbuster. This is a good vacuum. It does a great job of cleaning. The motor is very loud and it terrifies my cat whereas my old Dustbuster did not. It should also be noted that this does not come with any storage options, no brackets to hang it on, nothing to wind the cord around, just a vacuum and a couple of hose attachments.

It's okay

It's suction power is strong but gets clogged easy and ungodly loud then a rubber pierce tore off and idk where it came from.

Great little vacuum

I am so pleased with this little hand-held vacuum! It's light weight and really sucks up the mess. My bird spills pieces of her food on the carpet and they inevitably land between the carpet wall where my full-size vacuum can't reach them. The Dirt Devil Scorpion, however, sucks those pieces up in a jiffy. Plus, the price on this vacuum is a good deal. I am glad I purchased it.
