Dog Mate Dog Door

This door is excellent for both my English bulldogs that weight is 65 pounds for one and the other weights 70 pounds and is great for my 2 cats. They can look out the clear part of the window before going out and it opens and closes easily and being tinted on the outside was a bonus to. Easy assembly as well. A great purchase, ty chewy, it made life easier for all of us.

My yellow Lab broke it after half a day. She broke the plastic hinge off when she flew out the door. To fix it, I broke off the other side hinge and in its place screw in an adjustable metal rod on either side and that has been working. Another thing is the door should have come with a template for drilling the holes and to mark the door opening to cut out.

The door has been wonderful but unfortunately my dog ate the security panel and I have not been able to find a replacement anywhere.

I have three dogs who vary in size and weight. They start at 40, then 50 then 81. When the door arrived I thought my big door wasn't going to fit. Called a friend that we all visit and who has a doggy door my pups are familiar with. His is bigger but he said that they don't use the full height of the door. My brother put it in without any difficulty and without have to take the door down. I coaxed the smallest one thru and while I got the bigger ones out of their kennel, she had come back in. Had to do a little shoving to motivate the other ones to go thru. Once they went thru the were queens of the door. They love it and I do to. Cheaply made and installation/instructions are very poor. Look elsewhere. I installed it already so I'm not taking it out now, but I will never buy this product again or recommend it to anyone.

Doors are ok, very thin plastic. Covers are a pain to put on and take off. One of my doors did not come with plastic inserts for between the wood door and the doggie door, the screws that hold them together keep coming loose

I bought the large for my large dog and it’s definitely too small. My puppy will fit but neither dog will attempt to open it. Installed it in no time but still waiting to see if any of my animals will use it.

I have 2 50lb pit mixes, and they not only knock this door out of the holes, but have broken it twice now... I am not impressed with the door as it lasted 2 weeks tops.. I now have to order a replacement door, because it is so broken it will not stay in the holes, and I'm tired of gluing the piece that holds it into the door back on. This door needs a secure way to lock the door into the frame, and an all metal top if you ask me, something that will not break or fly out of the dang frame, because the dog ran through it.
