It’s too loud. Spooked my dog the first time we used it. Now he refuses to enter his dog house if it’s on. Waste of my money. May work out better for others. Doesn’t work for us.
This was easy to install and works like it's supposed to. It got down to 32 last night here, and my dog was snug as a bug inside the dog house with the thermostat set at 60. There will be heat loss when they open the flap to get in or out, but it's only a few degrees and it gets back up to temp in no time. When I checked on him this morning, the temp was 54 inside. The heater doesn't make a lot of noise, and it doesn't bother my typically scaredy-cat dog.
So far the heater is working very well and has been great during the most recent freezing temperatures.
This heater only works with their brand of dog house. Ugh
The heater works good the only problem I had was Anarchy at first was afraid of it. Took her about an hour to go into the house. The other thing is where the on/off button is, she kept tuning it off. It does what it's supposed to. I just wish it had better controls. Like a lower heat setting. 50 is really hot for an outside dog house. . I would buy it again, it's the best choice I found.
My dog stays outside most of the time and I installed this into his insulated dog house. It has been working wonderfully and I find him snuggled up inside and on occasion he only peeks his head out the door to say hi. Lol It isn't too hot, not too cold and definitely keeps heating pretty level in there. I notice the heater only kicks on if it happens to stay too low for too long in temperature from the one I set. Which is great! Exactly what I need it to do. I do check on it routinely (once in the morning and once in the evening) to ensure it's still running right and hasn't sustained any damage, needs adjustments, or if it caused any damages. Definitely been a game changer for when we aren't home and it's hitting below 30s or close to it. He's quite happy with it and we are too.
Very functional. all wiring tucked behind the dog house, my dog chews everything and so far I haven’t had a problem.
The initial product came with no remote. The company was able to send me a new unit, it had to be an entire unit because the remote cannot be sold separately. I give this unit a five out of five because it works great and extra points for the customer service. I would give this product a zero out of five due to the remote not being easily replaced and having to buy a brand new unit at the remote is lost or missing.
Needed something to keep my younger pitbull warm since it got cold. I had just a regular wire crate that I put an insulated cover on and have a soft dog bed in it for her to lay on. Installed the heater in the crate and it works wonderful! Keeps the temp at what you set it for...even with the front flap open on the crate so the dog can go in an out at will.
Seems to be working well in the below zero temps that we have had. Our dog is comfortable and warm inside his doghouse.
