What amperage breaker for circuit is required What does heater draw AMP wise
Answer by ChewyJan 11, 2021
2.5 amps is the most as the heating element pulls the max amp while it is on and it is on intermittently even though the fan runs full time to sample air temperature on the thermostat.

How hot does the heater get?
Answer by ChewyNov 01, 2021
The heater range is 55 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

I actually have two questions... does the door allow the dog to freely move in and out or the house and close behind him? Where is the heater located?
Answer by ChewyNov 11, 2021
The Dog Palace has an easy pass-through door. The door is hinged in the middle, making it easier for dogs to push the door open. The bottom half of the door is also removable for the initial training process. The heater is located inside the house with a heater portal that allows for the heater's electrical cord to directly exit the rear of the house, helping to keep the dog from tripping over the cord.

Does this house have a door that can be locked? i need a house for my ducks at night. Thanks for your response!
Answer by ChewyJul 12, 2021
The door cannot be locked. The Dog Palace houses have been used for dogs, cats, ducks, monkeys, tortoises, rabbits, roosters and goats.

Dogs love it

In SA, Tx area, ordered it in preparation of a hard winter in 2021 and we’ve loved it since then. She’s a tank but when she’s really chilly her temperature controlled house is her favorite place to be.

This dog house is the real thing!

We had an Igloo house with a Hound Heater in it for several years but wanted to get a new one. We found the Dog Palace, insulated and heated. We ordered it and received it in a couple of days. It was so easy to put together and install the heater. We read were some dogs had to be trained to jump in it. As soon as we got out of their way our dogs were in it. We purchased the dog bed that was recommended for it. They love it! Today 12/23/22 the temp was -4 degrees and the wind chill was -17. The inside of the dog house was 64 degrees. We are so happy with this doghouse!

Sturdy doghouses that last a long time

We've had three dog palaces (two DP Hunters and one Dog Palace) for several years now, and they have withstood Missouri winters very well. It gets colder here than people expect, and the heater has been an invaluable asset to keeping our dogs warm and cozy. Upon assembly, I cracked one of the windows (it was my fault) and I contacted the manufacturers, and they mailed me a replacement part, no problem. Good customer service, quality product. I recommend this to anybody I know with outdoor animals.

Heater broken and house easy to damage

Welp, this this didn't work out super great. It's really easy to put this house together. There are only 8 screws in the whole thing. I love that simplicity. But the screws don't come with washers, and even under hand-pressure, I put one right through the side of the house. Do your self a favor and head to a hardware store to pick up a couple. The heater doesn't work well at all. It turns on, but the temperature setting display is broken; only partial numbers appear on it, so I can't tell what the temp is set at. Overall, it's a disappointing purchase.

Parts did not fit properly

Extremely dissatisfied, called manfacturer and only got voice mail. Left name and number and reason for call only to never hear back. Could not get front panel assembly to fit into grooves, seemed it or roof was molded to where it would not fit in groove. Had to use Gorilla tape to hold in place. Certainly not what I was expecting! Would not recommend this product as any buyer could possibly encounter similiar issue.

Pitbull approved

I purchased this house for my outdoor pittie and she loves it. I found out she has been hiding all her toys in there too! Super easy to assemble and the heater works great. Highly recommended!

Great dog house

I bought this house for my German Shepherd who is an outside dog I was worried about him being cold and his wooden doghouse so I was looking for a heater for him when I came across this house so I ordered it it was pretty easy to assemble and I found the perfect bed to put inside it at chewie.com where I bought it from he actually went inside the house the very first day I had to persuade him to go inside because he wasn’t used to the door with treats I would throw it inside the house so he would go in and get it and come out the house is nice and big for him The heater is customized to whatever heat your dog is comfortable with I think it was a great purchase and I highly recommend it

Heater not quality

The doghouse is great and very easy to assemble. However, we bought this specifically for the heater. It only lasted about two months last winter. We replaced the remote hoping that was the issue and trouble shot every other scenario, but we are heading into another winter needing to make an additional expensive purchase.

Dog Palace Review

I really like this dog house but one problem occured. Apparently, some mice got into the insulation part of this dog house and there are tiny bits of round foam pieces covering the inside. How they got in and brought it inside is beyond me. We're still trying to find. My dogs were scared of the door and wouldn't go in but we got some gorilla tape and left the door open initially till they went in and out. They eventually went in.

not worth it

The house is poorly made for almost 400 dollars. The heater went out within a few months didn’t even make it three winter. Parts are not replaceable.the floor has cracked and is leaking foam everywhere within a few months. My dog ripped the door off within a week.
