Every dog is different, and feeding amounts will vary with age and activity. Use this amount as an initial guide, and adjust amounts accordingly. Feed twice daily, and always provide fresh, clean water.

Feed puppies 1 1/2 - 3 months old twice the adult amount. Feed puppies 3 - 6 months old 1 1/2 times the adult amount. Feed puppies 6 - 11 months old 1 1/4 times the adult amount. During gestation increase the feeding 25 to 50 percent. During lactation offer free-choice feeding.

Serve dry or lightly moistened. To help maintain freshness, seal the bag tightly, and store it in a cool, dry location.

Transition Instructions

If you are already feeding ACANA and you’re introducing new ACANA Regionals, mix the 2 foods about 50-50 for a day or two for easy transition. However, if your dog has a history of digestive sensitivities we recommend that you do a transition over 5-7 days.

If you are new to ACANA, we recommend that you provide a full transition period for your dog or cat. Introduce ACANA Regionals slowly; start out with 25% of the new food and 75% of the old. Over a period of 7 days, gradually increase the amount of new food until you are feeding 100% ACANA.

  • Dogs love!

    By on

I've got 2 (white) dogs with sensitive digestion issues, and both also have skin issues. I have been using Acana "singles" dry dog food for all my dogs (4) for a couple of years now, and the dogs have loved every formula so far. I had been reluctant to spend the big bucks for the Wild Atlantic Regional formula, but I got it for variety. The dogs gobble it down, and I have noticed significant improvement in the coat of my white American Bulldog's coat since I fed him this formula. He had lost almost all his hair from a reaction to a medication!! But it's coming back beautifully!! Just bought my second 25 lb bag, and I will definitely keep this food in my rotation!!

  • Old Dog Loves New Food!

    By on

My 12 year old Dalmatian mix loves to eat at night after we go to bed when it is quiet and dark. He is thin and muscular but I worried that he wasn't eating enough. Decided to try a new brand. Purchased Acana Wild Atlantic. Now he eats in the morning and at night and anytime I give him a kibble snack. I had no idea! Very, very pleased. Shipment arrived at speed of light. Will definitely reorder through Chewy!

  • Dogs will not even go near the food dish

    By on

My two girls are on a rotational diet with Acana products. Most of the products they have liked, the Duck and Pear they were not crazy about but they would nibble at it. Now we bought the Wild Atlantic and neither of my girls will even go near the food dish! I had to order the Pork and Squash, which they love, to replace this waste of money. Do not order ACANA Wild Atlantic Regional Formula Grain-Free Dry Dog Food for your pups - dogs don't seem to like it at all and you will be wasting money, and your pups will be hungry

  • contaminated?!

    By on

I've been feeding my boys this food for over a year when I came across a website that claims there are high levels of toxins and contaminates in many Acana products. Clean label project ~ I won't be buying it again.

  • Acana Wild Atlantic Regional Formula Grain Free Dry Dog Food

    By on

Food came breeder recommended for our new Doodle. I don't doubt the quality but unfortunately she really doesn't like it. Probably will end up donating it to an animal shelter. We love dealing with Chewy and this review is on the dog food and not Chewy.

  • I have picky eaters and they really like this flavor

It's a little more expensive BUT if it makes my pups happy and less allergies, that equals less trips to the vet and that makes this food for us a Win Win.

  • my dog wouldn't eat it....

    By on

So i'm always a big fan of Acana and Orijen, and my dog does love 'fish' type snacks, so i decided to mix it up and give him the wild atlantic instead of the acana meadowlands. Well...he refused to eat it. I figured he was just being a stuck up pup and he would eat it when he got hungry...well after almost 2.5 days of not touching his food (and he is a very active pup), I panicked and went out and bought him a different brand (orijen) which he gobbled it up as if he hadn't eaten in days...which was the case. Maybe this is specific to my dog, but he wouldn't touch the food.

  • My dog loves this.

This dog food is very highly rated for it's healthy ingredients. I hate that Chewy will no longer be selling this brand.

  • Acana Wild Atlantic for Dogs

    By on

Merle loves this food. He always enjoys it. He's been doing very well on it, but it is not the be-all and end-all of his allergy problems. He is a mix of Black Lab and some variety of wire haired Terrier (Jack Russell???). He has been having dry, itchy skin this year, even on this food and on an Omega 3 supplement. So.....this food helps a lot, but it may not solve all your doggie's problems.
