Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a wonderful dog food. From the standpoint of my lab Cooper, this is a really great dog food. This is the only dog food that he will eat right away without a adding anything to it, like broth or maybe cut up pieces of meat/chicken. Thank you for providing a healthy and tasty food for him. Rated 5 out of 5 by High quality and dogs love it Acana and Orijen are my go-to brands for the best dog food within our budget....they are still pricey, but so are veterinarian bills for chronic illness caused by feeding animals poor quality foods. I am also impressed with customer service from the company itself, which responded quickly to an inquiry I made a while back as to if any of their ingredients, including supplements, are sourced from China. Happy to report they said no. I have confidence in the brand, and my dogs are thriving on it. August 15, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Strong fish smell, dog loves it This dog food definitely has a strong fish odor. The other reviewers were not joking! My dog definitely loves this food though. Smelliness and all. Unfortunately it has caused her stool to become more soft but hopefully that is only because she is still in the transition phase from her old food to this one. August 5, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Why stop Pacifica? My dogs were eating Pacifica until Chewy stopped carrying and changed my order to Wild Atlantic. Both of them have soft and loose stools now. It took me a long time to get them stabilized originally, and so am not happy with the change. August 6, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, but not for me or my pup I bought this to feed my new furry friend, but he does not seem to like it as much as Orijen or non-fish meats. The smell every time I open the Vittles Vault is a bit much for me when it comes to fish flavored dog food. I know it is good, so I'm only giving it 1 star less because it just doesn't suit me and my pup. August 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent First Step!! Acana is an excellent "entry" food into the land of grain-free.... wherein your pets will have far fewer health difficulties, excellent energy, and healing of such things as skin conditions and allergies. Acana is made by the same company that makes Orijen, and to me, Orijen is the Cat's Meow. Or, the Dog's Bark. It's the TOP of the TOP. If you try Acana and like it, you will LOVE ORIJEN. Order some Acana, and read what's on the package. Nothing more is needed. I swear! If you fear the price-tag (like I did!), please rest in the knowledge that you will be feeding your pets only a FRACTION of the amounts you've fed them of food involving grain. When you feed grain-free, and heart-healthy-fats, which are included, your pet will be satisfied with an amount far less than what you'd feed her with most locally-available foods. If you sleep with your pets (I sleep with seven!) please know that these healthy grain-free foods eliminate FLATULENCE. Ahh..... there is a Heaven, after all!! May 20, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Warning: Formula has CHANGED! ACANA recently changed ALL of their formulas and it is not improved. For instance, it used to be Wild Atlantic with 70% fish and 30% fruits and was a 28.6lb bag. Now it is called "Pacifica" and is 60% fish, 40% fruit and is a 25lb bag. This is true of each Acana blends. Don't think you are getting the same thing. My dog went from happy eater to now back to his original problem of vomiting bile every three days. I'm SOOOOO disappointed in Acana! So I recommend the OLD product but not the new. August 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Food! My picky eaters love this food. We can feel good about giving it to them too because it is very low in carbs and high in protein! If you have a dog that suffers from yeast ear infections or gains weight easily this food is for them! July 31, 2016
