Rated 5 out of 5 by Sasha3 My German Shepherd had two medical issues, each with their own dietary restrictions.
Originally on another grain free fish kibble for an ongoing medical issue (PFD), Sasha now has a new problem and the dietary protocol was different. After researching I found that Acana Wild Atlantic met the requirements of both medical plans. Most of all, Sasha likes it and is tolerating it well. I transitioned her over a several day period to avoid gastric upset. We live in New England so nice knowing the fish comes from this area.

Breeder recommended for puppy. Very smelly and pricey but important for puppy to have the best foundation for development

Acana is an excellent "entry" food into the land of grain-free.... wherein your pets will have far fewer health difficulties, excellent energy, and healing of such things as skin conditions and allergies.
Acana is made by the same company that makes Orijen, and to me, Orijen is the Cat's Meow. Or, the Dog's Bark. It's the TOP of the TOP.
If you try Acana and like it, you will LOVE ORIJEN. Order some Acana, and read what's on the package. Nothing more is needed. I swear!
If you fear the price-tag (like I did!), please rest in the knowledge that you will be feeding your pets only a FRACTION of the amounts you've fed them of food involving grain. When you feed grain-free, and heart-healthy-fats, which are included, your pet will be satisfied with an amount far less than what you'd feed her with most locally-available foods.
If you sleep with your pets (I sleep with seven!) please know that these healthy grain-free foods eliminate FLATULENCE. Ahh..... there is a Heaven, after all!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Aims Excellent food for my picky eater
Took on a rescue that I suspect was fed human food despite what his rescuer was told, because I went through 4 or 5 quality foods that he refused to eat, until I found this one, and he gobbled it up. He's got some other health issues and nothing in the ingredients interferes with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Irish78 Excellent no grain no potato kibble for pure bred dogs
Food is good for keeping weight under control; beautiful coats; not intestinal problems and is a first rate no grain no potato dog kibble for my AKC champion Irish Terriers. Is a good product for introducing puppies to real kibble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gr8gsdluver will only feed my gsd/husky ACANA&ORIJEN
i LOVE this food for my spoiled dog and wish i knew about it when i got him 3 years ago. i started mine off on the wild prairie and boosted him up to the pacifica. I will combine my dog food with both the ranchland and pacifica (i have not given him ranchland yet, finishing the pacifica but im SURE he will love it).
The reason why i have him on the acana is because it is lower in protein and my dog is not that active (i am working on it ;) ) i will transit him to orijen six fish once i get him to the weight i want and being more active. as you can see i LOVE orijen and want that to be part of his meal; so my dog gets 3 medallions freeze dry 2x a week. HE LOVES THEM! he will stare at me til i give it to him lol. heck! the first time i gave my dog the freeze dried food, he would not touch his acana kibbles and that FREAK me out! lol. i can not afford the freeze dried food for a bog dog lol. i cant wait to get him on the orijen kibbles. it is very expensive but anything for my love bug big boy :)
p.s. i try to void sharing my dog pic on public review but orijen and acana deserves it :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jezzie72 Kibble size too large
My Min-Pin can manage the kibble size just fine. However my 5lb terrier mix cannot even when softened with liquid. Acana customer service says kibble size is the same across all product. This is a good food, but not for small dogs with narrow snouts.
