Rated 4 out of 5 by Good alternative to frozen raw as a microbiologist I don't agree with feeding raw food as there is no scientific studies to suggest the benefits outweigh the risks so when my puppy needed to go on kangaroo based food to determine if she had food allergies I searched and searched for a canned kangaroo to supplement her dry kibble. I was unable to find any canned kangaroo, but did find this dehydrated raw. The dehydration alleviates some of the risk that frozen or fresh raw has (salmonella, e. coli etc.) so I was more comfortable feeding this to the pups. Unfortunately my allergic pup didn't really care for the tast and would only eat it if she was really hungry, but my boys both liked it and will eat it dry or rehydrated. It does seem to be a good product though, good quality ingredients and excellent for sensitive dogs, but picky eaters may not like it. December 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Shiba approved! Initially, I wasn't sure about this product. It's much different than other freeze dried raw products we've tried. At first, my picky shiba boy would not eat it, but once he actually tried it he loved it and now gets super excited when I pour it and mix it with some water! It's a little pricey BUT you actually get more than Primal freeze dried nuggets. (Primal = 3 lbs when mixed with water VS 6 lbs when mixed with water from Addiction) April 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dog loves it My allergy prone/picky dog loves this food. It has a good grainy texture (not mushy) if you don't put too much water. It's expensive, but my dog has exhausted all of his options in terms of food. He's allergic to everything. Wished it came in 8 lbs box though. Chewy's shipping is fast and customer service is incredible. December 5, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Doesn't seem to be as advertised This doesn't seem to be a dehydrated food. It's more like ground up dry food. It's no different than putting dry food in a blender. I was expecting it would mix up into a soft paste-like food, but it's more like soggy Grape Nuts. It smells like someone just mowed the lawn, and none of my three dogs would go near it. I was hoping to find some relief for my allergy-ridden pooches, but this just wasn't the ticket. Might be okay if you have dogs who don't have good sniffers. August 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by saved my pugs life My pug as intestinal problems and would regularly bleed. His vet told us try kangaroo. From day one there has never been an more issues of bloody stool and it has made him a healthier dog. Thanks to this product. We thank you he has no more emergency vet appoints. December 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The dog likes the gamey taste My dog seems to like this food. I mix it in with the canned food I buy at Chewey.com. She likes both flavors. It has crunch mixed in with soft. It is a raw dog food, which is what most vets seem to like. It is a freeze dried raw dog food. November 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for dogs with food allergies My german shepherd loves this food! He suffers from 8 environmental allergies and sees a dermatologist for allergy shots weekly. She recommended either venison or kangaroo for him. After looking high and low for kangaroo, we found this brand and he absolutely loves it. We add some vegetables like brussel sprouts or spinach to it to help fill him up. September 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Dogs give it two thumbs up! Expensive, hoping it helps with my dogs food allergies. November 20, 2015
