Rated 5 out of 5 by This Food Is Our Miracle. It Satisfies Everything On Our Extensive Checklist I am so happy to have found this dog food !!! Made in USA, quality ingredients, great taste, low fat I have an older, very sensitive, fat, picky eater dog. We have tried brand after brand, spending all the way up to the very high end of the budget $. Trying to find a lean/weight management, premium/super premium quality, grain free, sensitive food, that my dog will actually eat has been a MAJOR challenge over the years and I started to think that it was impossible to find this unique combination in a dry kibble (vs. preparing the actual dog foods myself). My picky eater actually loves the taste of this food. This is important because he used to lick and spit out other foods, even when I mixed it with goodies. He now enjoys his meals and he has trimmed down his weight ! And I feel good feeding him the quality of ingredients. We have been very happy with how this food has kept his sensitive tummy and skin in great condition. In addition to the quality ingredients, it even has things like Omegas and pre biotics. Highly recommend this product line and Chewy !! We also tried the Lean Treats, but unfortunately, they were too crunchy/hard for the dogs to chew August 31, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for pancreatic dog My dog was hit by a car, had an adverse affect to his medication which resulted in a case of acute pancreatitis. We were told to put him on a bland low fat diet. I tried other low fat foods, including cooked chicken, bison and lean burger. He wouldn't eat more than a bite or 2 of anything. I searched online and found Annamaet lean low fat dog food. After reading the reviews that said it was great for my dog's condition, I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, He ate it with relish, has gained back a pound and 1/2 and recovered fully. Thank you Annamaet! August 31, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by My dog wouldn't eat it I got it hoping my dog would love it but he only had it once or twice and after that he hated it. He would run away from his bowl and not eat... I'm sure it's great food! Better than the other perscription diet brands but this didn't work for him. September 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for sensitive tummy, it must really taste great too! Our 13 year old schnoodle has always had a sensitive tummy, but this year developed a bad case of pancreatitis and dehydration. After a stay at the emergency clinic we brought him home with prescription Purina (regular) EN and he did very well with that, but we wanted to get a good healthy low fat dry kibble to mix with wet food, this is it!! We are doing pretty good now with the Annamaet Grain-Free Lean dry along with Purina Naturals EN as topper. Charlie really likes the Annamaet, even as a treat. He's lost a little weight too. Rated 4 out of 5 by Smooth transition It has only been a couple of weeks. But so far the girls are eating this food with no issues. They transitioned over with no issues, and seem to be enjoying the food thus far. August 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Pancreatitis Our 12lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has been suffering with bouts of Pancreatitis for a while now. She was previously on Wellness Super5Mix and as soon as we changed her over to the Annamaet Lean she started getting better. We wanted to find a low-fat, grain-free food for her as was suggested and Annamaet Lean was the lowest dry food we could find (grain-free or not!). It was a bit hard to find and expensive, so we tried going to Wellness Core, and after 1 day of slowly mixing in Wellness Core and Annamaet Lean, she was throwing up and having more Pancreatitis symptoms. Needless to say, we got rid of Wellness food all-together and are now strictly using Annamaet Lean and she's doing great. She really likes the food as well, switching her to it completely was very easy, and the smaller size kibble is much easier for her to eat. The only negative side is that her breath seems to have gotten worse on this food. I'll take bad breath over a vomiting, sick dog any day though. September 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 Star Food... I have used the food before, I now know it triggers allergies in my male Shetland Sheepdog. Won't be able to continue with thiss particular brand. Its an excellent food, nutritionally sound, great for weight management. I would highhly recommend it August 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Diabetic dog I purchased this product after researching a few high quality foods recommended for diabetic dogs. This food fit her needs due to low fat and also low fiber which she needed due to weight loss. She has been eating it for two weeks; gradually switching from Royal Canin glycobalance which had too much fiber for her. I am pleased so far as it has not upset her sometimes sensitive stomach, her blood glucose is beginning to be in a desired range (may be unrelated as insulin was also adjusted), and she really likes it.
