Rated 5 out of 5 by MiniAussieMom Amazing for Pancreatitis
Our 13 yo Border/Aussie developed Pancreatitis. She had spent several months panting and uncomfortable at night when she had an "attack", and we realized what it was. We almost lost her. She ate the vet food during her recovery (which was full of awful ingredients) and then I researched for hours and decided on Annamaet Lean. It was the best. She loved it and no more panting! (Of course, we were very strict about no more people food at all). It kept her pancreas happy and stable, and her happy and pain free. The last few months of her life, she didn't really want to eat it anymore, so we added a little low sodium chicken broth and she ate it up since I was really worried about trying a new food at that point. It gave my dog an extra year of a happy pain free life. And her coat looked great on it. She was a very healthy, well exercised dog so we bought it specifically for the ratio of fats and protein needed for pancreatitis; not for weight loss. She maintained her healthy weight on it. She didn't have anymore pancreas issues, and a year later passed away from a ruptured tumor that she had had for several years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bpet Keeps the triglycerides down
My dog had off the charts triglycerides his last check-up. The vet put him on a low-fat prescription diet which actually worked well to get his triglycerides down. But the quality of those foods is terrible so I looked for a low-fat, grain free kibble and settled on this. Well he had his first check-up since and his blood work looks great and he's lost the final couple of pounds and is at a manageable weight now. Plus the grain free has made such a difference with his eye discharge. I used to have to clean his eyes a couple of times a day, now it's every couple of days and not as much. Seems this is a keeper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Annie So Happy I Found the Food
My mini aussie has had two bouts of pancreatis before the age of one. With her second bout I decided to look for a low fat food rather than use the vet's prescription food which I found to be nutritionally wanting. I discovered Annamaet LEAN and with my vet's blessing, began to use it. My girl has been doing great on this food, so far. She appears to enjoy the taste and always cleans her bowl. I do feed her four small meals a day and I also often use a tablespoon of low fat dehydrated food to mix in, making a gravy. Our vet recommends she eat her kibble moistened. However, my girl gladly eats the kibble moistened with just water also. Her coat looks great, her body looks strong and she is frisky and playful. I am beyond happy with this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kettle Thank Goodness!
I have a mini schnauzer that was diagnosed with pancreatitis and he also has skin allergies. This is the 4th dog food I've tried, trying to get him to eat. Finding a grain free and low fat food has been hard. Didn't want to do the prescription food, really expensive also. He really likes this! I also feed him honest kitchen. So far so good, no attacks since Christmas day that we spent in the animal ER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mhlz07 Great for Pups with Pancreatitis
My 9 year old shih-tzu mix was diagnosed with pancreatitis in August and given prescription food. Since I wasn't too fond of the ingredients I started searching for a better alternative and came across Annamaet. I was a little nervous but he absolutely loves it. He will even eat it dry :) now if they only had a low fat wet food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brandon Great for Pancreatitis
Our 12lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has been suffering with bouts of Pancreatitis for a while now. She was previously on Wellness Super5Mix and as soon as we changed her over to the Annamaet Lean she started getting better.
We wanted to find a low-fat, grain-free food for her as was suggested and Annamaet Lean was the lowest dry food we could find (grain-free or not!). It was a bit hard to find and expensive, so we tried going to Wellness Core, and after 1 day of slowly mixing in Wellness Core and Annamaet Lean, she was throwing up and having more Pancreatitis symptoms.
Needless to say, we got rid of Wellness food all-together and are now strictly using Annamaet Lean and she's doing great. She really likes the food as well, switching her to it completely was very easy, and the smaller size kibble is much easier for her to eat.
The only negative side is that her breath seems to have gotten worse on this food. I'll take bad breath over a vomiting, sick dog any day though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cloie08 Still in trial stage.
I have a miniature schnauzer with, IBD. She has food intolerance issues...so we have tried a lot of dog foods. So far this is working...no rice. Her poopoo is a little firmer. Being a schnauzer she needs the low fat and she could use a little more fiber, but no combo I have found that has low fat, high fiber. This company is very good and great to work with. I gave it a 4 star because she doesn't love it unless I soak it in water first.
