I originally purchased one of these about 2 months ago for my puppy to curb her chewing issues, but I needed something strong enough that wouldn't fall apart if a bigger dog got a hold of it. I have 3 dogs of my own and watch my two "grandpuppies" during the week. They range in ages from 11 years to 7 months old and range in size from 60 pounds to 18 pounds. I'm purchasing another one with my next order, because all but my eldest love it. Sometimes to the point I have to put it up because they start arguing over it.

  • Wow! I love it already!

Let me just preface by saying we've only had this bone a few days, so this review could be very premature. But I'm so impressed I just had to review. My dog has been hooked on this thing like I've only ever seen him with edible chews, and he's more partial to cutting his teeth on soft toys over rubber. I had hoped this toy would be the exception, and wow! Is it ever! I think it's the smell, but I can't smell a thing. We have to chew this toy in doses cuz he could gnaw on it for hours. A lesser toy would be splinters by now, and a Himalayan chew would be digested! Thanks to the wishbone shape, he is 50lbs and can hold the regular and gnaw and can't maneuver it enough to try and crack it, which Let me just preface by saying we've only had this bone a few days, so this review could be very premature. Thanks to the wishbone shape, he is 50lbs and can hold the regular and gnaw and can't maneuver it enough to try and crack it, which is a problem with edible chews and my fear with antlers. He's never been an aggressive chewer, more persistent, and I can only see the smallest dent in this toy after maybe an hour of chewing a day for three days. If it last me more than a month without breaking I can definitely see myself buying a million more. … more

Benebone Bacon Flavored Regular Wishbone Dog Chew Toy was a great chew for my first dog. She likes to lay on her back an hold her chew bones in her paws. I am always afraid she will choke on one so I make sure to buy BIG chew bones. The wishbone is perfect for her. The way it is shaped I know will not choke her. I adopted another dog in January who also loves the bone So I had to buy a second one. Both dogs love this chew toy and I love that is is a safe chew for both dogs.

  • Prolonged life for a chew toy but it does break off

    By on

My 9 month old puppy has enjoyed this chew nylon bone for several weeks which is longer than most toys or bones last because he is a tough chewer. However, he has chewed all 3 ends extensively and did break off about an inch and a half off one end so I had to throw it away. Probably ate quite a bit of the plastic along the way so hope it isn't toxic. I would buy it again but replace it a lot sooner. Expensive to do that very often.

  • Benebones for your dog

    By on

If you have a dog that likes to chew hard bones, they will really like this product. My American bull dog hasn't put it down since it arrived. My other dogs liked it but not to the degree he does. They have always preferred the soft toys.

  • Freezer bone

    By on

Since my border collie/pointer pup has a short attention span and is still in a teething/mouthy phase, freezing the benebone is a great way for him to soothe his gums and call him down. Also, the shape is quite helpful and fun!

  • No interest from our puppy

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I thought for sure this item would be a winner for our 4-month goldendoodle puppy, since he chews on everything and loves to hold things with his paws while he chews. I don't know if it was the design, taste, or scent but he had no interest in this toy.

  • My furry girls love these!

The dogs just love these bones! One 10 year old and one 11 month old golden retrievers. Recommended by a friend as I was trying to keep the puppy busy when she was smaller. Started out with one and now there are three in the house. This bone keeps them quite busy and they always come back to it. One of their favorites! I highly recommend money well spent.

  • My Dog Loves This Bone!

    By on

Our dog loves this bone and it is strong. She normally tears into bones and has them gone in 24 hours. We have had this bone for 3 weeks now and it looks close to new other than some bite marks. It's awesome I will get this again!

  • Keeps dogs busy!

My two pits love these benebone's! They love the bacon flavor. Only thing I don't like about this is that yes, its made of nylon. I have nothing against it, It's that I hope they can make something that's not made of nylon? But there is no smell, mess, just saliva of how yummy it is to them.
