Description

This Grain-Free Turkey & Potato Recipe is a limited-ingredient diet formulated to minimize food sensitivities some dogs experience, while maximizing the nutritional value they receive. With real turkey as the first ingredient, potatoes, an easily digestible carbohydrate source, and veggies, fruits and micronutrients, this recipe is great for gentle digestion.

Key Benefits

  • Contains turkey, a high-quality protein not typically used in dog food and potatoes, an easily digestible carbohydrate source
  • A precise blend of veggies, fruit and micronutrients - these ingredients were selected for their nutritional value and their capacity to help in the digestive process
  • An optimal blend of Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids helps maintain the immune system and support skin and coat health
  • Contains no chicken (or poultry) by-product meals, artificial ingredients of any kind, or corn, wheat, soy, dairy or eggs - ingredients known to cause allergies in some dogs
  • Made without grains that contain glutens some pet parents choose to avoid

  • Basics has great ingredients and no fillers!

    By on

I have never been a BLUE fan since the dry is usually too binding for my small dogs. I thinks the larger breeds do great on this brand. But I had to find the right diet for my pom with colitis, and looking at the ingredients... I was pleasntly surprised to see the great care they took in making their soft food. The dogs seem to love it too. So I will purchase again.

  • Dented Cans

    By on

I love the convenience and price of the food on Chewy but this last case of food came with at least 6 dented cans. Dents were not severe so i was not concerned about giving it to my dog, but if they are selling dented cans they should disclose that on the description. I have placed another order and we will see how this one comes out.

  • Picky Tessa loves this.

Our little poodle, Tessa, is just loving this. Usually, she takes forever to eat her food & takes laps around the kitchen between bites. Now she just dives in until she finishes it. Happy Mommy!

  • Great for picky eaters

    By on

I have all small dogs in my family and they are picky eaters. I found this to be a great food for my pets because its light on their stomachs and since I switched no throw-up. Overall great food for small, picky eaters like my pups.

  • Found the right diet at last.

    By on

Rescued a Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix a year ago who had a sensitive stomach and was fed mainly dry cat food. We tried several other diets for sensitive stomach but he had a strong body odor that required weekly bathing. After much research I tried this diet after speaking with the Blue Buffalo Rep. He likes the wet food and the dry kibble as well. His stomach issues are fine and the musky body odor has gone. We also use the dental bones and he does well on those too.
