I have very, very, picky eaters. They don't like much. I tried several different kinds/brands of food desperately trying to find something they would eat. I was loosing hope and last night I opened the Blues Irish Lamb Stew. They both emptied their bowls and wanted more! I couldn't believe it. This am the both went to their bowls again. Gave them breakfast and almost instantly the gobbled it up. I'm ordering more immediately. Even my older dog who I was pretty much having to hand feed just to get her to eat, gobbled this down as soon as I set her bowl down. Thank you BLUE! Thank you Chewy! You'll be hearing from me shortly!!!

  • So far, so good !

My 13-yr-old Toy Poodle has evolved into a very picky eater; therefore, I am constantly attempting to appease her appetite with quality canned food. Thus far, she is very content being served Blue's Irish Lamb Stew, Grain-Free Canned Dog food. I only wish there was less gravy as her beautiful, long, white ear hair has to be washed after every meal. A bit inconvenient for me but well worth it as long as she continues eating.

  • A very good canned wet food

    By on

The stew-like consistency has a good combination of liquid, meat, and vegetables. The meat chunks are a good size but may be a little too big if you have a picky small dog (like I do). My beagle (always willing to eat) took to this food quite well. My smaller Shih Tzu/Maltese was more reticent and usually took some cajoling before he would dig in. This isn’t really unusual for him, he’s always been a picky eater.

  • German Shepherd wouldn't touch it!

    By on

Can only give it one star because the dog just won't go near it. Although she likes the beef and the beef, liver and chicken canned food, she wasn't having this stuff. Not very appetizing (for me or her, apparently) coming out of the can - all grey and all. Waste of a case of food, which I will try to donate. Live and learn. That being said, I still like Chewy - just have to make sure the dog likes it before I commit too heavily.

  • Road to better health

    By on

My dog has had skin issues and lethargy for several months now...once changing his food to Blue Buffalo, I've notice an increase in his energy level, his coat looks better and he feels better. So glad we made the switch. And love having his food delivered to my door!

  • MY DOGS WONT EAT THIS

    By on

I have two dogs, neither which will eat the Irish Lamb Stew. They simply sniffed and walked away. The food was not eaten the entire day and had to be discarded. I tried mixing it with the Blue dry kibble, which they love, but with no success. I ended up giving the case to my Animal Shelter.

  • where's the vegetables

    By on

I love that it has the right amount of meet, but the vegetables seem to be tiny pieces but not enough of them. perhaps a tiny bit less on the sauce and a bit more vegetables. Other than that she loves it and there for I love it.

  • Good value when it's on sale, lots of liquid per can

    By on

I have one picky eater and one with allergies, I can give the lamb stew to both of them and they both like it! I also get a loaf style limited ingredient canned food and alternate or blend them both with their dry food so they don't get bored with either one.

  • Yummy and helpful in large quantities

    By on

My dog got sick and needed a soft diet. This did the trick. Unfortunately, he needed to eat 10 cans a day because it's 1 can per 10 pounds of body weight. He's An 8 month old Great Dane. I wish it was more calorie/nutrient dense. Now that he's feeling a bit better, we're warming up his blue wilderness kibble with chicken broth and a can of this warmed up on top.

  • Blue Buffalo Lamb Stew

    By on

I have a senior dog (14 yrs) who is ailing and has no teeth on the right side of her mouth so hard food is extremely difficult for her to eat. I like that Blue has limited "junk" ingredients and this Lamb Stew has been a hit with my old girl. She's putting weight back on and her coat is shinier than it's been in a while. I switch up her wet food but stick with Blue Buffalo or Blue Wilderness. She's happy so I'm happy. I'd like to keep her around for a bit longer. She is at my feet the minute she sees the can of food. :)
