I have a 1 year old Golden Retriever that has been on Blue Wilderness since she was a couple months old and has always loved it until recently. I transitioned her from the Large Breed Puppy Chicken Formula to the Adult Large Breed Chicken Formula just last month. This whole month I noticed she gotten to where she didn't run to her food bowl in the morning when I fed her and that it would often sit untouched till almost dinner time (or till she just got hungry enough to eat it). Her bowel movements also went from solid and firm to soft and runny. She has always had a sensitive tummy and when we put her on the puppy formula it cleared up her bowel movements, but after transitioning to this adult formula we went back to square one. We love Blue and won't be switching brands but we are going to find another formula that she likes and something that sits a little better with her stomach.

by LHSF Review of Customer Service
All of Blue Buffalo's products contain quality ingredients that also appeal to our dog's taste. However: I had just switched our young lab to the (very) high protein Wilderness formula. Coincidentally, or not, she developed bladder issues. Because bladder stones can be associated w/ high protein diets, our vet advised dropping back to a lower protein percentage. Chewy Customer Service was completely understanding, and very accommodating of my request to return a new, unopened bag. In our case, we were asked to donate the food to a local shelter (returns are resolved on a case by case basis). What a lovely & gracious solution in a world where so many animals are starved for food and affection!

Rated 4 out of 5 by kitwyatt My dogs really like almost all of it
They do eat up this dog food and seem to really like it EXCEPT for the tiny round pieces. They pick those out and won't eat them right away, if at all. They actually pull those out of the bowl and eat the rest. Otherwise, a good product!!

It doesnt take long for my dog to devour this food.
Her fur is softer than other dog foods we fed our dogs in the past. We love the grain free.

Rated 4 out of 5 by EdPheil Good for Golden, not Pointer.....yet
Both dogs simply love the taste, bounce around and one climbs in the food bin to get dinner sooner. They especially like it with warm water. Zelda, an English Golden Retriever, switched over immediately, cold turkey and had no problem. Gwem. a German Short Haired Pointer, we are still trying to switch over gradually, but she tends to trow up much of the undigested food about 6 hours after eating as the concentration of Blue Buffallo Wilderness Chicken concentrations get high. We back off and gradually take it up again. We will need to back off again and wait for all the num-nums killed from the recently mowed hay fields next to our house to get eaten and try again to make sure it is the food and not the num-nums causing her problems. But, it seems as if maybe her stomach is saying she can't digest the new food. Stay tuned. We may need advice on a different variety of Blue Buffalo to try. We love the automatic delivery method. We have used that for our horses for many years.
