Feeding Instructions

For adults over 1 year old. Always supervise your pet when feeding treats. These treats are not a substitute for your dog’s main meal. They are for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.

These are guidelines ONLY. ALWAYS seek the advice of a qualified veterinarian or veterinary nutritionist for more detailed advice, especially if you have a special needs dog or cat with a health condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are your products made?

All of our products, including our treats and chews, are made in the USA.

Are your products GMO free?

We do not use any GMO ingredients in making Bravo products.

Are your products organic?

We try and purchase organic ingredients whenever possible, but because we cannot always source organic ingredients we will not state this on our label. We do, however, always purchase the best quality meats, poultry and vegetables possible from reputable sources.

Are your products hormone-free?

Federal regulations prohibit the use of hormones in all of our proteins except beef and lamb. While we always seek to buy hormone free beef and lamb, we cannot be absolutely certain no hormones were ever administered to the animal so we do not make that claim.

From where do you source your ingredients?

The majority of our meats and poultry are sourced in the USA. We also source some ingredients from New Zealand and France. We never source ingredients from China.

Why does the product label say for “supplemental or intermittent feeding”? Can I still feed this to my pet long-term?

We formulate our Bravo Blends, Bravo Basics and Bravo Boneless product lines so that our customers can customize them by adding their own vitamins, minerals and supplements based on their respective pet’s needs. We must say it is intended for “supplemental or intermittent feeding only,” as the products are not complete and balanced right out of the package. If supplemented properly, Bravo is a great long-term food for your pets. If you are looking for a product that is complete and balanced right out of the package, you should take a look at our Bravo Balance and Bravo Homestyle Complete lines.

Your product label says “for dogs.” Can my cats eat it too?

Cats have unique dietary requirements, especially when it comes to their need for a high protein diet with specific vitamins and minerals, so only products labeled for cats should be fed to them. While not complete and balanced right out of the package, our Bravo Blends, Bravo Basics and Bravo Boneless provide a good foundation for cats. Please note these products are not complete and balanced and you should consider adding vitamins, minerals and other supplements based on your pet’s needs.

Why did you remove "cat” from the Bonus Bites and Training Treats packages?

We are working to create a family of products that includes species-specific offerings. We currently have our Bravo Healthy Medleys and Bravo Healthy Bites, which are made especially for cats from wholesome meats and poultry and are specially-sized and formulated for cats in terms of the mix of ingredients and the size of the treats. Please note treats are not a substitute for your pet’s daily meal and they are not complete and balanced right out of the package.

  • Makes even my lazy dog willing to work for treats!

    By on

Here's a direct quote from my dog: "Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, YUM!" As a discriminating pet guardian, I can use these treats and remain guilt-free. Pure food. No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. They are small enough morsels not to have to worry about weight gain, or triggering pancreatitis, etc., but I'd still use judiciously, especially with the smaller dogs. Highly recommended as a high-value training treat/reward.

Our picky Jack Russell rescue loves these and they're easy to break up into smaller pieces for his obedience classes. Thanks!

  • too crumby

The dog loves these treats but they turn into crumbs very easily. Not worth the money.

Only feed my dog pure meat treats. He loves venison liver. From the U.S. makes it even better.

  • Cats: thumps down; Dog: thumps up

The cats were not convinced that this is a good treat. Only one of my four attempted to nibble on a corner, but left the rest for my neighbor's dog. The latter really enjoyed the treats, though.

  • Our Doxie just loves this treat!

Our Dachshund is on a restricted diet for allergies and cannot have many "treats" right now. The Bravo! Freeze Dried Venison Liver treats are a real hit. The crispy texture and liver flavor make these treats extra special.

  • My dog is addicted to these treats!

    By on

My dog can be a little picky when it comes to treats. If she doesn't like them, she leaves them on the floor. Our Vet intoduced us to these. I only give her a few of these little squares in the morning and again in the evening. She goes crazy for them. I have started referring to them as "doggie crack". I know, totally inappropriate, but I have never seen her react to a treat this way.

  • Dogs gone wild

    By on

I got these (1st time), venison lungs (1st time) & ziwi peaks venison (many times before) & the day after they arrived I went out to come home to no bags!! Apparently someone (Standard & mini poodle) opened the treat box & then proceeded to eat all three bags. Needless to say they liked it! I was sure the big one would explode in a mess but to my surprise he had one bout outside and the rest were fine and firm. We live in the city where one sees their dogs go because we pick up (like diaper changing I guess), and my Standard Poodle is treated for very serious allergies (hence venison, which is the only meat that he can eat without a reaction).

  • Freeze Dried?

    By on Top 500 Contributor

Not sure if they got confused in the packaging department, but the bag I received contained little pieces of rock, could hurt someone if I threw one at them... So maybe they are Roasted Dried instead? Not quite sure what happened there, but even my F2 Male Savannah who breaks bone without a problem refused to get these in his mouth...
