Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 124 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by My experience with this food I have an active 9-year-old border collie german shepherd. For a few years I fed him Nutro Lamb and Rice dry food, but he was a little bit too thin all the time, and once in a while he would have a short period where he vomited bile but the vet couldn't find anything wrong. I changed to Canidae a couple of years ago and he build muscle tone and a very shiny coat, never vomits bile anymore. His stool is a perfect color and consistency and he never has diarrhea. I just learned how good this food actually is, though, when I had to travel for a month and left my dog with my sister. He ate a different food there, and when I got him back he had lost muscle, seemed stiff and showing his age, and he was slightly constipated. A week back on Canidae and he was spry again and had gained back the muscle and the perfect poop consistency. This is the best dry dog food there is, and my perfectly healthy dog is proof. Rated 5 out of 5 by Picky eaters love this I buy quality dry food always. This is the first time my picky cattle dog eats when I set the bowl down. It's like a miracle. I like the limited ingredients. I bought this for our rat terrier mix who had elevated liver enzymes, hoping this would be easy to digest. She's also just started denmarin for her liver. She is also picky and loves this. Both seem to work cuz no more piles of bile. Yay!!! July 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This dog food is great for my dog with food sensitivities. I like this dog food because my dog with food sensitivities likes it and it gets a 5 star rating by dog food adviser. July 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for sensitive stomachs I have two GSDs and both have sensitive stomachs, so I feed them a freeze dried food mixed with ram meat. I use this kibble in a treat dispenser to keep them occupied, as well as a training tool. Both are quite active and may get a cup of this per day. They were never great on other costly kibbles, but I have no issues with the Canidae. June 30, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Works for My Hounds I have sighthounds who range in age from 1 year (very active) to 11 years (more sedentary). I fed raw exclusively for many years but a few years ago decided to mix it up a bit. I fed another meat-based high protein/high fat kibble that was a little too hot for one of my older hounds causing loose stools, something I was not used to after feeding raw. Canidae Grain-Free PURE Elements with Lamb and Grain-Free PURE Elements with Duck both are meat based kibble with the protein and fat content I'm after and they sit well with all the hounds. No more loose stools for the older guy, and the youngsters get the nutrition they need for their active life style without me having to feed different kibble to each of the age groups. I do still feed raw meaty bones (usually chicken) with their evening meal unless we are travelling, but I am comfortable feeding this high quality kibble alone. April 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by great food for my mutts Ever since I switched to this food, both my dogs are looking better in terms of their coats and energy level. I highly recommend this food. June 26, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Pet Food but not a 5-star yet. I have just purchase this brand of pet food for the first time ever. I introduced it to my pets little by little by mixing it with the previous food we were giving them (Merrick Grain Free Salmon) and my pets did not suffer at all with the changes at first. They are already eating this brand only and I didn't see any changes on their health except for my youngest dog (4 years old) that now has her stool too dry. I will continue watching her and hopefully her body will adjust to the food but if I don't see any improvements, I will have to go back to Merrick. The reason I purchased this brand is because it is recommended with a 5-star review of a pet food advisor. Merrick Grain Free is also a 5-star review but this one is a bit cheaper. I decided to give it a try but I am totally willing to going back to Merrick if my pet does not adjust properly. Besides that, I believe that my pets love the food. The smell is not too attractive compared to other brands but that does not bother my dogs. I gave it a 4-star because of how it smells and how my dogs are adjusting to the food. March 18, 2016
