Canidae Grain-Free PURE Land with Bison Dry Dog Food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 145.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from He was a whole new dog! My 6 month old lab had always had nasty ears and battled ear infections. He became very sick about 2 months ago with vomiting and lethargy. The vet treated him for ear infections, but his ears weren't much better on checkups and he continued to throw up intermittently. Food change was going to be the last resort but one week, when my vet was out, I was at my wits end and did some research on common food intolerances and what those symptoms look like. My poor boy had nearly every symptom. I changed his food to Canidae pure, only using their chicken free lines since this was reported as one of the most common food intolerances in dogs. His ears cleared up within the week, and no more vomiting. He's energetic, happy, and loves his food. Highly recommend this line, especially for sensitive labs like my guy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 Dogs Love It! I rescued a 6 y.o. Sharpei/Pittie mix off of Craigslist three months ago who is still with me as a foster. Her skin was in horrible shape with open sores, elephant skin on all 4 legs, her muzzle and her entire belly. After good vet care, I went about finding foods that she could eat and would support good skin health. My Black Lab (who is 9) had a slightly elevated protein level in her liver and the vet recommended getting her off of the 30% protein foods. She has also had allergies most of her life, so grain free is a necessity. My other two dogs are a 8 y.o. Rottie/Shepherd (who was left as a puppy by her family when they moved and had to fend for herself for a month or two and as a result has a very sensitive stomach) and a 3 y.o. Pittie. All four dogs love this food. It has been perfect for the Sharpei/Pittie and her skin issue has improved steadily. None of the dogs have had any issue with this food. They eat it with GUSTO at meal time. I like the quality and am trying another flavor to give them some variety. I highly recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product's This is a great food for dogs with skin issues. My dog Hope had a skin problem of little blisters. I put her on Canidae bison and it cleared up within a week. She and my other hounds are very picky eaters, but they love the bison.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend; excellent nutrition & food appeal for dogs I have two 11 year old retired racing greyhounds who have become pickier with their food in their "golden years." Because of dental issues, both have had a lot of teeth removed, so most of the other kibble brands for large breed, senior dogs have such large-sized kibble, that my greyhounds had a hard time eating it. But this kibble is smaller, and I soak it about 10 minutes prior to serving, and it does not swell up like most other kibble. I attribute this to this being such quality nutrition and protein (and no fillers). But my greyhounds LOVE this, and I have had not had any problems getting them to eat now. They love the Bison flavor, but I would imagine ALL Canidae flavors would be appealing. This is truly a wonderful product, and I am recommending it to all my friends, especially greyhound owners. It is a kibble that can be used throughout a dog's life. Also, I cannot say enough favorable things about Chewy.com - their customer service is stellar!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just be careful not to overfeed My pup has lots and lots of allergies. We recently tried to switch him from a venison based food to a salmon one, and wound up finding out he was allergic to fish in addition to the rest of his allergies. We decided to try the Bison flavor of Canidae after being recommended the brand from a friend. The only problem was that we didn't look very closely at the feeding measurements since he'd been such a picky eater for so long we'd been free-feeding him. After a week on the Canidae, he got sick, from both ends. I was afraid he was allergic to something else in the food again, but turns out he was eating more than twice the recommended amount of food! We stopped letting him free-feed and started measuring carefully, and within 2 days, everything was back to normal. He loves the food and is doing much better on it, just be careful you don't feed too much - this food is rich and can make for some very upset tummies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food My 3 dogs love this food. I have never seen such a fast change in their activity and coat. I have been feeding this to my dogs for years now and only have good things to say about it. I love how it has added vitamins and minerals for their overall health so you don't have to give extra supplements. The only thing I pair this with currently is nutri vet salmon oil, I'm beyond impressed. If you need a healthy dog food at a reasonable price for the quality buy this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems okay My picky Standard Poodle seems to like (but not love) this food. He will eat it only if another raw food is mixed in. The kibble size is small and I wish they'd make them bigger as my dog is 60 lbs. The poops that result are not overly smelly and tend toward the drier side making cleanup easier. Love Chewy's quick door-to-door delivery, which was very handy when I ran low on dog food while on vacation in the Midwest with our dog. I chose this product because bison are usually free range and grass fed, making them less prone to antibiotics, small enclosures, and industrialization of livestock-raising like cattle or poultry farming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our dogs transitioned to this food easily & love it! Our dogs transitioned to this food easily & love it! They have been eating another high quality dog food but when we compared it to this Canidae it didn't stack up. Canidae costs a bit more but we love the limited ingredient list which we think is healthier for our dogs. Our pups transitioned over so easily with no digestive issues at all. We are thrilled with the change & our dogs are too.
