Rated 4 out of 5 by from GSD 2 pups can do alot of damage I have 2 GSD age 2 months when I first purchased this bed. I got the large because i new they will be huge dogs. At first they either avoided it or used it for potty time. I don't know why but when it was in my home it was just a bad situation so I moved it outside to teach them to ask to go outside. It worked. Eventually we had to stop that cause i would spray it down constantly. They had a couple accidents and also tried eating the mesh which I thought would come completely apart but hasn't yet. I will be replacing the mesh soon when they learn to stop chewing on it. I would definitely recommend this bed not only because price wise it was economical but also the mesh has gone through a lot and is still strong. I had to put it away during the winter since I was afraid to keep it in the house for obvious reasons but now that it's back outside my 60 lb pups love to use it as a trampoline on top of it also being (finally) a cozy bed. It was I'd say fair to install once you curse a little and keep the kids plus pups outta the accidental swinging zone. Yes you only need one person to install. Definitely better than a soft bed when there young and learning what a bed is cause yes they ate one of those too. Very good product Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dogs, Cats, and I Love It I've been wanting raised beds for the pets for some time. This large Coolaroo seemed to fit the bill, both for size and price, so I bought just the one so that the pets and I could check it out. Well, all of us (human, dogs, cats) love it. Only problem is that I sometimes trip over a leg, but that's my problem. I do have a couple of blankets on it for softness. I plan to purchase a couple more this summer for the deck. The instructions are sketchy, but it's pretty obvious what goes where. However, when you get to the end and are trying to get that last pole way, the fabric was just too taut. Instructions say that you'll need help, but I hate to always run to the neighbors, so looked for youtube suggestions. Lo and behold, a video showed how easy it was to insert the offending pole if you just hold the bed vertically and step on the opposing pole (you probably have to do this to understand). Anyhow, easily as pie I was able to fit it in, all by my lonesome. The fabric seems sturdy, though it is stiff (hence, the blankets), so I'll eventually put elastic around each blanket to keep in place on the bed. Fabric is guaranteed for five years; and you can buy replacements, too. I and critters are very happy with this bed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The dogs really like it I bought the latest coolaroo for my brother's collie after having bought two for my own, aging dogs. The coolaroo gets them off the floor making it easier for them to get up and down without straining hips. The collie came to the family with a history that included a broken leg. Now that he's getting older it's hard for him to get off the floor. The little bit of height the coolaroo provides is just enough. The mesh design keeps them cool when it's hot. In the winter we layer a memory foam pad over the coolaroo for extra comfort and warmth. The four stars come from assembly issues. When it's new it's a pain to put together because the mesh is so tight. As it ages, the mesh loosens and so do the screws. It requires a little maintenance now and again so it doesn't fall apart. Also, the plastic on the feet degrades and it has scratched my wood floors. Looking for caps for the feet to prevent that. For the price, the coolaroo is well worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My pets continue to love them after 7 years I've been using these for my dogs for about 7 years now. I've only had to replace the actual bed/frame once for both beds. My 11 year old, 95 pound German Shepherd loved his! My 6 year old 85 pound lab/pointer loves his. Now my 6 month old Golden Retriever loves it too. I have size large beds. They hold up extremely well. I keep them in the back yard. Very easy to clean, just hose off. They've ran and jumped onto them and they are still holding up. They're light too. Pretty easy to assemble, takes about 15 minutes. The replacement cover is inexpensive too. I usually have to replace it every coupon years or so. I wait until there's a good size hole in the middle, or their butt's starts to fall through. My shepherd had bad hips (hip dysplasia w/surgery as a puppy), and he had no problem getting up or down on it. I highly recommend this product for any dog. Beats them laying on the ground.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Difficult to put together but great beds! Bought two of these for our dogs (growing puppy and adult shepherd). They love them! Our adult has hip dysplasia but overheats with dog beds. This elevates her off the hard ground but allows air flow underneath. However I can only give a 4 star review because of how difficult it is to put together! I highly suggest watching the coolaro video on how to put the last screw in so that you don't spend 30 minutes aggravated that it won't match up with the tension. The instructions did not make this clear at all but the online video really helped. I think these beds will last us a long time and will be incredibly easy to clean. The product itself is great - it's putting it together that's not so easy!
