Rated 5 out of 5 by Sylvester Nice door
It is a nice door for a dog, but it says it will fit a german shepard but I don't think it is for a big dog for sure a medium dog I bought this because the cat door I had broke so put in one that swing like a door I didn't like it at all so had to buy a dog door for the cats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rick Door works well, easy to install, my dog likes the freedom
It is easy to install in the garage wall to go outside.
I don't see how my dog could break it... only people could.
I like it so much I put one from the house to the garage. My dog can now go outside by herself from in the house to the garage to outside!
Also, it is good value for the not-so-much money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nearles Love the hard flap
I had the conventional rubber flap that kept ripping and costly to replace 2 - 3 times a year. I love the hard flap that is on a hinge. I bought a second one after receiving the first one and looking at it because I have 3 large dogs competing to get outside. I am getting a custom door built with the two doors on each side as part of the side lights. The white plastic trim looks good on the white doors. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is it is a little flimsy at the hinges and I am worried it could snap out. I don't care for the cover, I prefer a cover that slides in and out on a track. This one seems like it could be broken into easily. I haven't used them yet, so this assessment is just from out of the box and how it appears it will be like installed. The orders were shipped immediately and received in 3 days each time. The customer service employees are very helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by satisfied Solid construction and easy to install
It was very easy to install- I have a 6 panel 2 3/4 in door. I used the outline provided and traced a cut line on the door. I used a drill to make a hole all the way through the door that was big enough for my jig saw blade to fit through and then made the cut. The door slides right in the hole and you use the screws provided- 3 different sizes, you put one side with shorter screws and the other with longer screws that way the screws don't ouch in the middle of the door and screw all the way in- to secure it to the door. Didn't take longer than 15 minutes. Because of the panels in the door there are little gaps, but caulk fixes that. If you have a flat door, no need for it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jax1965 heavy loud and not an easy install
This door has definite pro and cons. The magnets on the door hold firmly, which is wonderful to keep out flying bugs, but, unfortunately, it keeps my dogs out too.. I think it would work well for high spirited dogs, but, for the less aggressive they just seem to respect the fact you dont want them in and dont push. Luckily I figured out a way to remove the magnets for training purposes and was able to put one magnet back once they understood the principal. It still keeps the door shut and provides the perfect amount of protection from flies and such. The installation was no piece of cake either, you may want to pick up some washers before you start the job, save yourself some headache. All and all it does what I needed it to do, its just noisy and bulky and I prefer the soft plastic doors.

by gardenergourmet like the company but one design issue on medium
The small we installed years ago did have a 'self-lining' extension that formed a tunnel-like width to fit into the cut-away part of a door. The new medium doesn't have a 'self-lining' extension. The front and back panels are shallow. The kit comes with flat pieces of plastic with which you have to build the tunnel-like part that covers the cut-away part of the door frame. It suggests taping to hold in place while installing. A real nuisance to install. Once installed, the door seems to work well with brush edges and a magnet that isn't too strong to a small spaniel. So far, even being pushed from one corner or the other, it seems to be returning to center.
