Rated 5 out of 5 by KristinH Grain free is best
My dog has sensitive skin and this product is a good grain free option as an alternative to most dog foods in the store. Good value as well for the quality.

Our dogs both love this food! our 1-year-old became disinterested in the food they were eating, so we started looking for something new. We've tried two varieties of this food and they both loved them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RockyMac44 Yeast/Allergies Better!
My 5 year old American Bulldog/Staffordshire mix, Jack, has has really bad skin issues these past couple months. He was always seasonally allergic and naturally has pink skin but this season it was more than just a few months and he was actually creating hotspots. After a few hours of research, I figured out that the paw biting was caused by yeast. More research lead me to the fact that potatoes in dog food increase yeast. Also, he was always on taste of the wild and I wanted to eliminate the proteins (buffalo and beef were the last two flavors I gave him) he has been eating because maybe he was allergic to that too. This lead to to buy Nutrisca Chicken and Chickpea. It has been two weeks and he has gotten SO MUCH BETTER! He went from constantly chewing his paws and itching to barely chewing! I always thought he had gotten lazier from getting older but switching to this food, he has so much more energy! I do still think he may be allergic to something else outside because he still does get a little pink around his lips from time to time. But this food had clearly made a difference in the 2 weeks he has been on it.

This dog food as been an answer to many prayers. My yorkie was constantly itching and scratching himself. His skin was red and inflamed with bumps along with having ear infections one right after another. He was always chewing his feet. We were having to give him shots at the vet just so he was moderately comfortable. We narrowed down that he has an abundant amount of yeast issues along with food allergies. Although getting grain free dog food helped it wasn't doing enough. While searching and reading reviews on different dog foods I came across this one. The reviews were awesome and it has chick peas instead of potatoes or peas. The change has been humongous. The red, inflamed, itchy skin is a thing of the past. He rarely chews his feet if at all. The yeast in his body is under control with the help of this diet and a special ear wash. Cannot express enough how great this food is and he loves the taste. In fact my other six rescued dogs love the taste too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jlind1938 Nutrisca grain free is excellent
My kids eat Nutrisca dry kibble and canned stews. I rotate between chicken, salmon, turkey and lamb. It is excellent grain free food without potato fillers, canola oil and so many other ingredients found in lesser foods. I highly recommend it for a very healthy pet.
Also, Chewy.com is the best company to supply my dogs needs.....hands down, or perhaps I should say, Paws down!

My Anatolian is usually on a lot of red meat but he totally loves this food. I think the ingredient list and the protein level is just right. I feel safe having him on some quality chicken because I do like to rotate and diversify protein sources.
Wish it had some probiotics and chondroprotective joint supplements built in but hey- this is a super food. I read the company used to be GMO free, too which gives me hope they may do that again or are at least attentive to quality sources that are humanely raised and free ranged.
