  • Picky Collie Loves It!

We have a Rough Collie puppy that can be a picky eater. We did not want it to turn into a thing so researched early on what other Collie owners were feeding their dogs. Collies also have a tendency for allergies, and itchy skin so a quality food source was very important to us. Nutrisca kept getting mentioned and we decided to check it out. He loved it and has zero allergy problems and no itchy skin. We like that Nutrisca gives choices in protein as we found some owners dogs developed a sensitivity to chicken. The ability to switch to lamb or salmon if our baby ever has that problem is great. Actually, we tend to mix the chicken and lamb recipes and he loves that. • Our dogs gobble this food up!

    By on

Our big dog has a lot of food allergies so finding the right food is a challenge, but the dogs seemed to be getting tired of their old food. We tried this new food and they love it!!!!! They seem happier and healthier than they were on their old food. I can't find this new food close to my house, so I am thrilled that I can get it delivered to my door. Thanks Chewy!!

  • We love Nutrisca

Our dog suffers with allergies and issues with yeast and our vet suggested eliminating white and/or sweet potatoes from her diet. Nutrisca is one of the better brands that is still affordable.

  • Change of bag, change of formula??

    By on

I have been using Nutrisca with my diabetic dog for almost two years. It kept her levels much more stable than those with potatoes. However, I have had to increase her insulin so far from 9.25 to 9.75 because her levels have increased. This could also be as a result of her getting older. So for existing Nutrisca users, watch your glucose levels closely for a change. Other than that this, is an excellent food, and my dog absolutely loves this.

  • Good quality food and dogs like it.

    By on

I was giving my sister rescues another brand of food. A good quality but not very high in protein. I decided to go with Nutrisca. No grains and good quality protein ratio. One of the girls loves the new food. The other sister is still deciding. I think she doesn't like things to change. I am pleased so far in knowing that I am giving them the best food they have ever had in their lives. I will never know what happened to them before I came along. But I know what is happenig now and pleased with what they are eating.

  • dog loves it!

my diabetic dog as most diabetic dogs seem to be is the pickiest eater. randomly he'll decide to stop eating his food so I had this laying around just for that purpose. he's now loving this food and hopefully he sticks to it lol. so far so good and he seems happy. his old food also seemed to bother his stomach and this food he's been fine, another plus. the price is also great compared to most others that seem okay for diabetic dogs. all in all I'm happy, he's happy, we're all happy lol.

  • Not as good as it used to be

For anyone interested, Nutrisca has changed their formula and it's not as good as it was before. Their meat based protein has gone down, and their plant based protein has gone up. They are currently listed on Dog Food Advisor (Jan 25th 2017) as a 5 star, based on their old formula; I have emailed the company to let them know of my opinion with the formula change. All that being said, it is still a decent choice for a mid range grain free dry formula, especially since there is such a small number of brands and formulas of grain free dog food that *don't* use cheap unhealthy fillers, specifically potato and tapioca, and Nutrisca thankfully doesn't.
