We have been using Chewy for about 15 years. The staff is always friendly and helpful and very accommodating if a problem ever arises! The Nutrisca dog food is not only super healthy but our "Doodle" loves it. His eyes are bright, his coat is shiny and I swear he has a smile on his face. Great company, great service great food!

  • Change of bag, change of formula??

I have been using Nutrisca with my diabetic dog for almost two years. It kept her levels much more stable than those with potatoes. However, I have had to increase her insulin so far from 9.25 to 9.75 because her levels have increased. This could also be as a result of her getting older. So for existing Nutrisca users, watch your glucose levels closely for a change. Other than that this, is an excellent food, and my dog absolutely loves this.

  • Good quality food and dogs like it.

I was giving my sister rescues another brand of food. A good quality but not very high in protein. I decided to go with Nutrisca. No grains and good quality protein ratio. One of the girls loves the new food. The other sister is still deciding. I think she doesn't like things to change. I am pleased so far in knowing that I am giving them the best food they have ever had in their lives. I will never know what happened to them before I came along. But I know what is happenig now and pleased with what they are eating.

  • dog loves it!

my diabetic dog as most diabetic dogs seem to be is the pickiest eater. randomly he'll decide to stop eating his food so I had this laying around just for that purpose. he's now loving this food and hopefully he sticks to it lol. so far so good and he seems happy. his old food also seemed to bother his stomach and this food he's been fine, another plus. the price is also great compared to most others that seem okay for diabetic dogs. all in all I'm happy, he's happy, we're all happy lol.

  • Not as good as it used to be

For anyone interested, Nutrisca has changed their formula and it's not as good as it was before. Their meat based protein has gone down, and their plant based protein has gone up. They are currently listed on Dog Food Advisor (Jan 25th 2017) as a 5 star, based on their old formula; I have emailed the company to let them know of my opinion with the formula change. All that being said, it is still a decent choice for a mid range grain free dry formula, especially since there is such a small number of brands and formulas of grain free dog food that *don't* use cheap unhealthy fillers, specifically potato and tapioca, and Nutrisca thankfully doesn't. I truly wish they would have kept their For anyone interested, Nutrisca has changed their formula and it's not as good as it was before. My Anatolian is usually on a lot of red meat but he totally loves this food. I think the ingredient list and the protein level is just right. I feel safe having him on some quality chicken because I do like to rotate and diversify protein sources. Wish it had some probiotics and chondroprotective joint supplements built in but hey- this is a super food. I read the company used to be GMO free, too which gives me hope they may do that again or are at least attentive to quality sources that are humanely raised and free ranged.

  • Nutrisca grain free is excellent

    By on

My kids eat Nutrisca dry kibble and canned stews. I rotate between chicken, salmon, turkey and lamb. It is excellent grain free food without potato fillers, canola oil and so many other ingredients found in lesser foods. I highly recommend it for a very healthy pet. Also, Chewy.com is the best company to supply my dogs needs.....hands down, or perhaps I should say, Paws down!
