Rated 5 out of 5 by Robin A great product
I bought this pet fountain after returning a different one purchased at a pet store. I had several problems with that fountain and became frustrated with it. I did a little more research and found this one. It was cheaper at Chewy.com and so far, I have been really pleased with it. It is a bit noisy, but the design is so much better than the previous fountain I had. I have 2 dogs and 6 cats and they all seem to like it. I purchased the cleaning kit also. I have cleaned it twice already. The first time took a little longer as I had to read the directions on how to take it apart properly. The second time was much easier.

2nd one I've owned. First one lasted for like 12 years. I did replace the motor once. Easy fix. When I was setting the new one up, one of the cats and dog where waiting for me to get it going. They love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Odetta Love the concept but pump is noisy
I love the concept of this fountain. My two GSD's love the fountain and the falling water. The only problem is that the pump is so noisy that I can hear it in the front room. If that can be fixed I would give it a 100% rating.

My dog loves this! She is usually very slow to drink water and only when she's absolutely dying of thirst. So I figured I'd try something to get her to drink more water and it worked!!!! She loves this thing. It did take her a couple of days to get used to it but some gentle prompting and putting it wherever other water bowl was helped. If you're looking for something 100% silent this isn't it. It makes a light humming noise but it's not invasive or loud even. We unplug it at night because I have no idea how much electricity it uses and she sleeps in our bedroom with the door shut. Also, do yourself a favor and fill up the jig and let it run through the filter for a few hours to rinse the excess charcoal off. I'm sure soaking t would help or rinsing the filter in the sink but one way or another after the first jug we cleaned it out and she's been guzzling water ever since! No more ice cubes to trick her into hydrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chappy even my cats love it
I bought this for my two dogs, but my cats love it even though they have their smaller fountain. The only draw back,is it is big and hard to clean in my sink. With 2 dogs and 6 cats I like that the water is filtered,by the charcoal filter. I still have to clean these fountains every other day,but they seem to enjoy it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Spade Almost Perfect!!!!
I prefer this over the smaller fountains especially if you have more then 2 pets because I dont have to refill often. I wish the water tank was BPA free plastic and bigger water tank. Even though it say Big Dog Fountain I bought this for my cats and it is the perfect height for my cats...Smaller fountain still make them bend their neck down to drink ..I wish they make this in stainless steel or BPA plastic..

I have 2 large dogs that constantly drink tons of water. Was refilling there water bowl 3-4 times a day, so I bought the Big Dog Fountain and only have to refill it once a day or less. And if I am out most of the day and it is hot, I dont have to worry about my pups drinking everything and having nothing. Its a huge reservoir. Plus it filters out anything that floats (like hair) and everything else sinks to the bottom (like dirt) so your pet always has fresh water. Its great and my pups and I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Smitty45 So far so good!
Bought this because I have 3 German Shepherds and I am always concerned about sufficient, fresh water. This is a very large unit with plenty of room for them to drink. Plus, water continually flows via a filtered fountain and two of my dogs prefer to slurp from the flowing water. And there is not as much splash outside of the bowl. Fairly easy to clean; just need to heft a goodly amount of water to the sink to empty.
