Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for occasional wear I wish I had found these here a few months ago. I had a pair of these, bought many years ago, and only used them when it was really cold out. The older my senior dog gets, the more sensitive his feet become to the cold. I needed a new pair this year and couldn't find them. Ended up getting a pair of Muttlucks, which are really super nice shoes, made with super thick fleece. The thick fleece is the problem though. There's just a loose strap of velcro, nothing to hold it in place, and when you try to wrap the velcro around the dog's leg, there is so much bulky material there, you can't get it tight enough, and the more you try, the more the shoe twists. With these being nylon material, it doesn't bunch up and is easy to get tight around the leg. I don't know how well they would hold up to everyday walking on pavement or sidewalks, but for our use, they work extremely well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased 3 Years in a Row! I love these boots. I live in Minneapolis with two Hairless Chinese Cresteds. Winters are TOUGH with these guys, and we live in an apartment so we have to go on walks 3x a day (not an easy pop in and out with a yard). I needed boots that were small enough to get on their tiny paws (and stay on), EASY to get on and off (because we do this routine multiple times a day), washable, and cheap enough to dispose of at the end of the season. I have a lot of experience with dog boots - they get really filthy and disgusting so I hate spending a lot of money on them because the truth is I would never want to keep them longer than one winter. These meet all of my criteria! These are fantastic, I've purchased them 3 years in a row and I swear by them. They walk and run in them just fine, they almost never slip off, and with that price tag I don't feel any guilt throwing them away - except I would be gravely disappointed if I couldn't find them the next year. They fall apart a little towards the end of the winter, but like I said for the price they really do the trick. Thank you so much Chewy!!! Please see sizing for my two guys below. Keep in mind they have very slender paws (compare to Italian Greyhound). 13 lb Dog - XXS 6lb Dog - XXXS

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Boots My Golden will wear these boots! Don't use them often but sure nice to have in my pocket should she need them. Helps keep the salt off too. Tried many varieties of boots, but these have been the best... and they are affordable!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product did the trick! This product did the trick! Our dog Webster had torn ACL's in his back paws last winter. This winter, he seems to react much more to the cold. He was limping around and I was afraid he was going to hurt himself again. So, I got these little dog shoes. He looked totally goofy at first, but once we got outside and they got in the snow he felt much better and was moving around really Well. I got the medium size and he is about a 40 pound beagle mix. They're a little big-ish so you need to strap them well with the Velcro so they don't come off in the snowbanks. Good luck!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Recommend mix and match sizing for doxie front/back paws As there was no sizing information available in the product description, I hoped for the best and ordered two pairs in small and x-small for our two male dachshunds. From the boot packaging's handy size chart, I quickly realised size small (3 1/4" long) was WAY too big. The x-small (2 3/4") size is about 1/4 inch too long for their front paws but fits ok. Given our doxies' both have smaller back paws, I plan to order the xx-small (2 1/4") and mix and match the two sizes on our dogs front/back feet. Without a decent outdoor test wear, the overall quality of the boots *looks* reasonable - the fleece lining and stretchy upper-leg-wrap seem soft and comfy; the main fabric and faux-suede sole don't look terribly water resistant or to offer much grip. The velcro fastener needs to be wound really snug otherwise the boots come straight off. Given these are our dogs' first winter boots, and they were a reasonable price, I figure we'll upgrade to something more durable next season if needed (and they don't mind wearing boots on their paws!).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fits Huge! I needed something to help my 14 year old Norwegian Elkhound walk on the wood floors. She doesn't move much except to eat, use the bathroom, and follow me into whatever room I'm in. I've got rugs all over the house for her to walk on but when she hits a bare spot she can't get any traction. I've acquired a collection of slipper socks for her that work really well except they come off after she gets up once or twice. I thought these would work great because they have the Velcro straps even though they are meant to be outdoor shoes. I measured her foot and it said she should wear a small. This seemed odd to me since most of the slipper socks I've bought her were bigger than that. Then I looked at the comparison of dog breed to the size shoe you should get. A small was supposed to be the correct size for a beagle not a 60 pound Norwegian Elkhound. Thinking that I was doing something wrong (and the fact that the small size was out of stock) I purchased a medium. I opened them today and they are huge. Granted I'm a small woman but they are as big as the palm of my hand! The bands around her legs are really baggy as well. Maybe they would fit well on a Saint Bernard or something. I put them on her and tightened the straps but she walks right out of them! On the back of the package there is a handy size chart you can place your dogs paw on. It again tells me she should wear a small. However judging by the size of these even that may be too big! If they had an X-Small in stock I would try those. Overall I would measure your dogs foot and get either the size it says or maybe even try one size smaller but whatever you do don't go bigger! I think they would be an alright product for the price if the sizing wasn't so awkward.
