I did not want to invest a lot of money on a pair of all weather boots until I knew whether or not my dog would wear them. I hand washed the boots in cold water prior to my dog wearing them outside. However, the dye on the bottom of one of the boots was turning the water black. I rinsed and rinsed, but the color continued to bleed.
Pls know ur dogs paw size!!

I bought these boots to get my puppy use to wearing boots at a young age. We're planning to take him ice fishing, and I was concerned about his feet getting wet with the water on top of the ice, which could really create problems on the negative 20 degree windy days. I'm not sure that these boots would word, they aren't that tall, I'm also now sure how well they are waterproof or not, I haven't tested that. But they are affordable and seem to be quality, so I bought them for my pup to learn on. They are cheap enough that if he chews them up, I wouldn't be out much.

The first time I put these on my dog, I had a hard time. He was a 16 week old pup at the time, so he was very squirmy and kept trying to bite me. Eventually I got all 4 on (he kept pulling them off, as I was putting them on). It was difficult, because, even though I thought I ordered a size bigger than I needed, I had a hard time getting his foot to go in. Afterward, we went for a walk in the yard. It was about 2 minutes of walking before the first shoe came off. Then maybe 10 minutes total before all 4 shoes had fallen off on our walk.
The second time (a few weeks later) that he wore the boots, I had a much easier time putting them on and they stayed on a lot longer. I'm unsure if this is because his paws are a little bigger now or because I purposely tighten up the boots more. They stayed on for over a mile walk down a dirt road and through some muddy ruts too. Eventually one fell off, then the second one wasn't long after that. He started to fuss over the third boot, so I removed the last two for the remainder of the walk. For this walk, he was 19 weeks old. He's about 22lbs and a Border Collie. Attached is a picture from this walk. Boot size is XXS.… more

I bought these for my Maltese, the smallest size available. They fit so well she got used to them quickly. They also stayed on when she ran. As others have noted, however, if they slip at all, then the polyester material sill shred or tear. I used rubber cement to repair, cover, and seal the top and front edge of the boots and that seems to work well. The leather soles are great and the price was great, too. I wouldn't pay full price for them, though

I bought these for my 90lbs pit who has big paws and they fit perfectly! Now he is able to walk in the yard without foxtails going between his paws!

I was finally able to put these boots to the test after a snowstorm. I was pleased that the boots stayed on during our entire walk and even while my dog ran around in the snow. However, when we returned home, her paws were wet and her white hair was stained grayish black from the fabric. Disappointed that these boots did not do what they claim to do.
Woudln't Stay On

I bought the extra small boots last fall for my 10-lb. dog. I was finally able to try them when it snowed last week. They slipped right off her feet--over and over--no matter how tight I made the Velcro fastenings.
fit well and are well tolerated

I just wish the sole material wrapped the front edge of the boot. My Golden drags his feet sometimes and in the course of a brisk 3 mile walk over varied terrain, including pavement, the front cloth edges were frayed and went through the first layer in a few places. The bottoms with the rubber sole were fine. They still kept his feet dry and he had no problem wearing them. For the price they are good; for a wrapped edge and a few more $$ they would be even better.

Only complaint is that they fit the front paws better than the back paws which were smaller. Would be nice to be able to mix and match sizes in one order. Also wish there were two velcro straps to better secure them around the legs. They will do for now, but will be purchasing another pair from Chewy just from a different manufacturer.
This product was disappointing

I was very excited to get the booties for my little dogs. The 2nd time I used them there was wear and tear on the front of booties. It's disappointing, as the boots are expensive even though your prices are lower. The girls tolerate them fine and they stayed on. I don't think I will pay money to get another set.
