Rated 1 out of 5 by DebbieM Caned Sardines in the store are cheaper!
I dont get it. Why would someone buy this when you could go to the store and get sardines packed in olive oil. I drain and rinse the sardines out and then add half a can to the side of my dogs food. Its cheaper and I trust it more.
I also get them Mackeral from the can packed in water. Always rinse them off to take the salt out or too much oil like the sardines have.

I was disappointed in this one and won't be buying it anymore. It has lots of fluid. It only has two fish. More fluid than meat. It has some peas and carrots in it. But, the worst part is, that they get loose stools. So I am slowly working my way though it. I see that right now all Evanger's fish canned is "temporarily out of stock." I'm not pleased with Chewy.com to let something popular in sales get depleted. I am a AKC Breeder of Merit. So I use a lot of dog food. I like to keep a balance of variety in canned; and, I use most of Evanger's Canned products on my show and breeding stock. Now I need to order; I will stay with the salmon; but I can't get either! GRRR TO CHEWY.COM RIGHT NOW! Keep up your stock!

Three of our dogs loved this sardine meal but the fussy one wouldn't touch it. It is very economical in that there's a good gravy and a nicely packed bunch of sardines, all easy to serve and especially to share among the group to mix with dry food.

I am somewhat conflicted about the quality of this product because less than half the can is fish, the rest is juice. For the money you can get a can of mackerel at the grocery that gives you more fish. That said, I do think it is a good alternative to a meat based diet, and the juice is apparently tasty and my Irish Wolfhounds like it.

I bought this product based on the fantastic reviews. I fed all six one morning and every single dog are enthusiastically. The next morning we went back to our turkey dinners and I got the old stink eye from my beloved pets. Bottom line they love the fish and praise be.....the fish really does not smell bad. There are nice big chunks and visable veggies with enough broth to soak up the extra kibble _meat lover's medley by evenger- I put in the bottom of their bowl.

Hello this is exactly what it describes. Sardines are a fish and not tuna. Very healthy alternative for dogs and yes fish does smell like fish, but they love it. Not much different from buying sardines in the grocery aisle of supermarket. But Evanger's bigger can size here does help.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bratpack This is a good wholesome canned food
We have a multiple dog household. Yorkies and maltese and they can be very picky eaters. I tried this out of curiosity.....whole fish really? It it whole fish stew . I add this to their kibble at dinner time and they lick their plates clean. It smells like fish, because it is fish!
A big hit at our house.

by Fred35 This is a healthy hearty real fish based product that your puppy will crave
This product is excellent. Inside the can are 10 to 16 pieces or chunks of fish that smell like tuna and are a great healthy diet option to keep your puppy healthy and guarantees his fur coat is shiny. As soon as you open the can your dog will be barking and jumping until he gets to feast on this fishy organic extravaganza
Totally recommend it
