Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Mix-in I have many rescue foster cats with food allergies, one Persian with IBD. She, in particular, is fussy about what she'll eat - if she doesn't like it, the dish sits there and she'll starve rather than eat it. This has been great because I can mix it in with other grain-free brands so she'll eat the food. Note that this food is not nutritionally complete - even the label says it's for mixing in. But because of the limited ingredients, and the meat choices you don't see in any other cat food brands (like rabbit, pheasant and buffalo) this is a great product. Excellent food, made in the USA. It's worth noting that only the foster cats will eat this. My own four cats (3 of them are purebred British Shorthairs) will not touch it. So it doesn't help if it's wonderful food if your cats won't eat it. But if they do, you know they are getting good quality food. And it perks up their interest to mix this in instead of the same old food day after day. April 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Maltese approves! Excellent food for my Maltese with allergies. Keep in mind you do need to ADD regular food to this, as this Pheasant food is a "topper" (not nutrionally complete to meet a dogs daily needs). I add this to my dog's dry food. August 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My dog loves Evangers's Pheasant With a dog that can only eat Pheasant and Kangaroo with no fillers, I was overjoyed when I found the pheasant from Evangers. Harry loves it! July 15, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by not nutritionally complete I regret ordering this as it is not a nutritionally complete food. Plus the cats don't much cre for it. June 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Product at the best Price This is great food! Nothing weird in it at all and a good alternative protein source for allergic dogs. I interchange the pheasant with the rabbit formula and use them as the protein source for the Honest Kitchen base mixes. My pooch loves the combo and I feel very good about giving her a very complete, healthy diet without having to home cook her food. May 21, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Dogs like it I gave this 4 stars because my dogs seem to really like this food. I didn't give it 5 stars because honestly I can't stand the smell! I know canned food is quite smelly, but this is by far the worse I've ever fed my dogs. I got a case of both Pheasant and Beef & bacon and both have a very strong smell. I will not buy this brand again for that reason only. April 22, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by High quality product but my cats won't eat it. Purchased because of the limited ingredients and high protein content. Unfortunately, none of my cats will eat it. Also. On the back of the label the product says "intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only". I was unaware of this when I purchased. Not sure why they say this but maybe it has something to do with there being no added vitamins or minerals. I have three cases of this product so I guess I will be feeding it to the dog. Rated 4 out of 5 by snarfs it down my picky dog loves this stuff. One issue is that ingredients say it contains "liver" but does not say if it is pheasant liver. I got this for elimination diet to deduce allergy, but with the liver I'm not sure this will work. But smells good, dog loves it. January 26, 2016
