Evanger's Signature Series Slow Cooked Chicken Stew Grain-Free Canned Dog Food is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Baby Girl Enjoys this a Lot!!! Pleasantly surprised one of my Chihuahuas luvs to eat as much as possible. My little boy Chi refuses to touch it at all. However, he seems to like the other stuff, I am scratching my head.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product looks good enough to eat My dog loves it but the pieces are way to big, I had to cut it up for my dog to be able to eat it. No where did I see vegetables.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 2 Fur Children LOVE Evangers! My finicky & fussy fur children LOVE Evangers Chicken Stew! They also love the Beef Stew. Evangers dog food looks & smells like people food! That is why my spoiled pups LOVE Evangers. I have tried many different brands for my pups and I am VERY PLEASED with the food!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from a lot of liquid, not much solid food in the can I have tried other Evanger's dog food which my dog enjoyed but he is not crazy about the chicken or turkey stew. I also received several dented cans.( I would not buy dented cans.) On the plus side it was easy to order the food and it was was delivered in a few days though FedX delivered to the wrong address.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I’m switching from Evanger’s for two reasons... ...quality control problems and my dog’s preference. My much adored Jindo is a finicky eater. She will get around to it but has always shown a surprising lack of enthusiasm come mealtime. Additionally, though for her first year and a half we always provided her quality wet food, she ran around looking emaciated with her ribs disturbingly pronounced and us getting cross-wise looks. One day, while in PetSmart, one of the reps (for another line) recommended Evanger’s as a quality, American made option. Our goal was to find a stew formula that would mix with the kibble we were also feeding her more easily and more tantalizingly than the “loaf” products. Over time, we moved up the line from the less expensive stuff to the signature series. In particular their “Slow Cooked Chicken Stew” at an eye-popping $32/case of 12. First the quality issue, I’m now seeing with alarming frequency cans that pour out as “soup” rather than with the thicker “stew” consistency I paid for. I called Evanger’s and spoke to a very nice man there who was surprised to hear of the issue and am waiting to hear back. In the meantime, as I told him, this is disappointing. These errant cans are not, as claimed, super-premium and it makes me question whether or not such production line variance is endangering my dog. Second, while cruising the Chewy site for other stew alternatives, I came across the Whole Earth Farms (WEF) line of canned stew products. Wow. - Also American made (a value brand of Merrick) - Great ingredients (rated better at Dog Food Advisor Com than the Evanger’s product) - $12 per case LESS than the comparable Evanger’s product! Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, my dog goes nuts for it!!! Your experience may very but at our house, it’s not even close. Suggest you give it a try and see what your furry dinner guest has to say to you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sure doesn't look like the can! Very runny food with really small pieces of chicken. It's like all gravy. When I put some in my dog's dish, he just stared at it. He won't eat it unless I put some dry food on top. It's going to take me a long time to get through the case I bought.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Evengers Signature Can Food I found that a lot of the cans are inconsistant with content, some very soupy and some more dry. Dog didnt really care for it either, I will be spending my money even if a little more on something a little more consistant and better tasting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mislabeling We've ordered this food several times in the past. The first ingredient listed is chicken, the second turkey liver. All other previous cases has been true to this labeling...meaty chunks of chicken and SOME turkey liver. However, this most recently case has ALL turkey liver...big, thick chunks of it. NO chicken to be seen in all the cans...I've opened half the case & in frustration for not wasting any more of the $32, I plan to donate the remaining 6 cans to the local shelter. I have contacted Evangers directly but wanted to alert anyone else to this discrepancy.
