Instructions

  1. Select 2 points to install screw hooks, making sure the distance between the 2 hooks is less than the length of your trolley, to insure the cable is long enough to reach. Install open eye screw hook to suitable tree, fence pole or frame of house.
  2. Install closed eye screw hooks to suitable site making sure the distance of both screw hooks is the same. General height from ground to screw hooks should be eight feet to prevent people from walking into cable.
  3. Attach shock absorber spring on end of trolley to open screw hook by placing spring over top of hook.
  4. Slide one protective stopper onto open end of dog trolley. Slide pulley lead and second stopper on, so pulley is between stoppers.
  5. Extend open end of cable to closed eye hook and slip through eye of hook. Pull tight until there is no slack in cable. Now attach wire rope clips with wrench. Cut off excess cable.
  6. Attach one end of a 4 Paws® Tie-Out Cable to the pulley and the other end to your dog's collar. Your dog will now enjoy the freedom of the 4 Paws® Overhead Trolley.

After trying to rig up many lines lines for my English pointer who loves to run in circles I tried this cable and so far so good. Now she is a unique challenge because of her nonstop running in circles. She has gotten seriously tangled too many times to count. The Trolley Exerciser came with everything pictured and was easy to set up except for the plastic stoppers that are to slide into the cable. That wasn't happening. I used WD40, pliers to help fish them through the cable and gave up after 30 minutes. The holes in the stoppers are smaller than the cable. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has the same problem. I used heavy duty duck tape instead. I don't leave my dog outside for more After trying to rig up many lines lines for my English pointer who loves to run in circles I tried this cable and so far so good. • Great fun for big dog

My 90lb GSD mix loves spending time in the yard on his line! If you put it low enough there is more than enough line for playing and exploring. I was a little worried about the plastic wheel, but he has run full tilt and lunged and been pulled back with no damage to the line. (And no damage to him - buy a harness to go with this if you don't have one!)

  • Great product for a limited time.

The product was easy to install and worked great for a short period of time. After about a week, I came home one day and my 65 lb. dog was roaming free. The lead was still attached but he broke the cable that runs from tree to tree. Snapped it right in two. So this item shouldn't be approved for animals up to 80 lbs. Very dissatisfied and want my money back!

  • One chewed through, the other broke

I have my pit bull hooked up to one of these and he lunged away to run and snapped the cord right from the tree. Last night my German shepherd who I have on another one of these chewed through her cable that connected to the trolley and was running around the yard. Definitely not good for larger dog..

We recently moved to a house that didnt have a fenced in yard but my dog loves to be outside. This item was sturdy amd safe and allowed my dog to enjoy the yard without me having to worry. It was an affordable solution. My dog Lucy loves it.

  • Sturdy & simple

It was pretty easy to set up except the little stoppers you're supposed to slide onto the wire-- LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE. So we skipped them but otherwise it's great. It works well for my 70-lb pit mix.

  • Broke after 2 weeks.

Cable snapped in 2 places after two weeks and the clip on the lead came apart as well. Not a good product at all. Highly disappointed

  • Great Product

We are very pleased. Our only cautions would be the Ad said "over 80" lbs. and while our dog is 110lbs we felt it was a good choice. The Package when it arrived says Under 100lbs which was not listed in the description. That said... The Trolly has worked perfectly so far and our big boy has yet to break free from his lead. However, the pulley is Plastic and we will be trading out for Metal soon as our dog will wear and tear it less.

  • Well worth the price!

For an energetic 40lb mutt, this has been a blessing. Our yard isn't fenced yet and our dog likes to run, this allows her to stretch her legs for a sprint or safely lounge in the sun. Twice she has surged after a squirrel/bird and both time she was easily restrained (and bungeed back a bit) by the line.
