Bought this for camping with my German Shepherd as campground required leash or tie out at all times. I needed something I felt would be strong for my young dog. This worked great, its easy to use & stays clean. I would recommend.

  • strong and durable cable

Our 4 month old lab is a big chewer. He chews on this cable every time we have him connected to it. The cable has not torn from the chewing or been affected by leaving it outside in the nasty weather.

  • Freedom for the pup

    By on

My lab puppy loves this. Gives her plenty of room to run and gives me peace of mind knowing she can't actually go anywhere she shouldn't be. Plenty of room; I wasn't sure if this would be long enough. Sturdy and well made. The only thing I'd change is the clip where it hooks into their collar. It's a little cumbersome but not annoying enough that I wouldn't purchase again. Definitely would.

I use these tie outs to let my dogs play (and do their business) out in our unfenced yard. They last a long time and are very dependable.

  • Almost solved keeping 50 pound dog safe

    By on

Vinyl coating and attachment is nice, BUT the clasp started getting weak after a few uses. The weakness in the clasp allowed our dog to get disconnected. Our dog is a chewer, so she immediately broke through the vinyl cover. Solved by attaching a 3 foot section of chain to one end with a different, stronger clasp from the hardware store. That way, the chew range was far enough away that it is intact. The weak clasp was solved by taping over the clasp. She also was able to crimp and break the vinyl coating. So, therefore, a 3 rating. Works, but has some issues with a 50 pound chewer.

  • TIe out cable- Excellent quality

    By on

I purchased this with the anticipation of being disappointed as I have a pit/hound mix and it holds up to her antics and is great quality ... I implemented a bungee cord at the end of it so it gives her some room for stopping without being jerked back. we use this only when we are camping

  • A little disappointed

Used this for the 1st time and my Rottie snapped the cable off of the spring. it says it is good up to 100 lbs and my Rottie is under a 100lbs. The extra length was great, it gave them more space to move around and my 2 dogs did not get tangled.
