My 4 month old Golden Retriever was not tolerating ANY dog foods! I tried multiple brands, all high end recommended by Golden Breeders! It didn't matter which one I tried, he got diarrhea and many times vomiting. Very discouraging! I read and read about dog foods, fillers, percentages recommended amounts of fat and carbs, read users reviews, checked out Dog Food Advisor too. Went into a small family owned pet store and shared my story. The owner had Goldens. You have to understand the big dog vs puppy food or regular dog food controversy for large dog puppies! She recommended Fromms Grain Free Game Bird, as they felt it would be gentle enough for his tummy. I'm happy to say that from the first bowl at 4 months up to now, he's 10 months, he has digested it well with NO problems! Happy.....growth has been great, not too fast for his breed! Always a concern for larger dogs! Beautiful hair and nails too!
Great dog food for our "fur child!"

My older aussie tried this last fall but I never got around to reviewing it them. I got my paws on a sample of this and gave it to both my girls this evening. Can you say competition? My girls each got to taste it as an evening snack from their toy the "gamechanger" (best thinking toy ever!!) and both were jealously picking their toy up and moving it away from the other. Very cute. Post snack the puppy kept sneaking over to the trash bin and trying to grab the sample baggie out of the trash. She wanted more game bird! I can say none of the other Fromm products had her doing that.
Love the tiny pieces, and boy can you smell the cheese. This is their all time favorite I think followed by Pork and Applesauce then Salmon Tunalini. Any Fromm Flavor is sure to be a success though in our house ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by BadBob Expensive yes, but well worth the healthy pup benefits
It is expensive, but well worth it knowing how well the company can control the quality of their food. Considering its a healthier quality food, the pup eats less and poops less but maintains his weight appropriately and is still full of energy. This food is meant for dogs of all ages, including puppies, and the size of the pieces is like small 4-5mm pebbles so it is easier for them to eat without worrying too much about chocking. Healthy coat through and through as well. Chewy is the cheapest place to find the 26lb. bags, and considering the cost for the large bags shipping is free. My extended family uses Fromm for their dogs too. Extremely satisfied with Fromm's quality.
There is also a deal with Fromm I found out from a local pet store. You can get a small Fromm envelope to save and record proof of purchases and dates. After you fill up the form spaces on the envelope and provide the corresponding proofs of purchases, they will send you a free bag of your most purchased flavor and size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dogmom Dogs love this flavor!
My dogs were eating but, had gotten a little tired of, the Fromm Beef Frittata flavor (great food, they had just been eating it for a while) so I purchased the game bird recipe. They were very excited and ate it like it was a treat! They smaller kibble of the Fromm Four Star Nutritionals is perfect for their small mouths. (Chihuahuas)

Tentatively we believe my dog has an allergy to rice, chicken, and beef. Those were at least the foods that made him the most itchy, and he stopped itching as much when we cut them out.
He loves any flavor, but we kept him on rotation of Lamb and Salmon, and I thought those would be the only two flavors we could give him, but then i saw this and decided to just hope, hope, hope that turkeys, ducks, and chicken weren't too closely related, lol! He got through the whole 4lb bag without scratching, which was a lot more than could be said for the beef, so that was good. Verdict is still out, but it's in the rotation for now.
Also, I trust Fromm the best - I actually spoke to someone from the company when switching over from Canidae, another favorite, and they were very helpful. I liked that, both supporting family businesses right at home and feeling like people who knew and cared about dogs were helping me find a dog food. I'm hoping we'll be able to stay with them for the long-run.
(cons: the pieces are small, for all the food. we use a slow feeder, so that's not really a huge issue for me personally, but i can see how it would be for some)
