Feeding Instructions

Many factors including age, breed, activity level, and individual metabolism contribute to the need for adjusting portion sizes. Two to four times more food may be required for puppies, gestating dogs, and nursing dogs. Spayed or neutered dogs may require up to 25% less food.

Determining the correct amount of food for your pet depends upon your evaluation of your pet's overall performance on the amount of food consumed along with any other food or treats given.

If feeding canned food only, the average dog requires ¾ oz for each pound of body weight, best fed twice a day.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 45 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by My senior boy loves this food!!! My almost 14 year old mini schnauzer has been having some gastro intestinal issues for quite some time now (trouble eating, loose stools, occasional throwing up). On a hunch, I began mixing his normal food (Fromm dry kibble Pork and Peas) with the Fromm canned Shredded Pork. Since starting on the new diet, he has made a 100% improvement! He is once again excited about his food, isn't throwing up, and his stools are solid and formed. The Fromm Shredded Pork Entree compliments the Fromm Pork and Peas dry food perfectly. This is a great combo for seniors who need a more digestible diet without cutting out the dry food. September 29, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Formula Change! less pork, added fish oil Waited 2 months for product to be back in stock. The old formula had a lot more pork in it. The new formula is soupy and has less pork also added fish oil so my dog does not like it at all. October 3, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too Runny My dog LOVES Fromm products, but this one does not agree with her, it has hardly any Pork in it! Definitely NOT worth almost $4.00 a can! September 9, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by They changed the formula They changed the formula! Now I have to keep an eye on her to see if she is going to break out! Why can't the just leave things alone. It's hard to find canned food that won't break out my dog! I'm mad! September 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Should be tried for picky dogs. I bought a case just for fun -- nearly $4 a can is a bit too pricey for regular feeding of a German Shepherd. My pup is 5 months old, and she typically eats Fromm large puppy kibble with half a can or so of Fromm salmon and chicken pate. Just for fun I mixed half a can of the shredded pork with about 5 cups of the kibble -- and the dinner looks more like "wet kibble" than anything more appetizing, and....she gave me quite a growl! She will growl over a meaty spare rib or meaty high-end steak bone, but never DOG FOOD! I would strongly recommend this for fussy eaters or perhaps sick dogs with poor appetites. It would be especially good, as I've shown, to encourage kibble eating. BTW, my training solution to growling over food (this is an exceptionally high drive Shepherd) is to take the food away and make her kiss me to get it back. It may take a minute to shift moods, but such kissing and licking is (I've read) what lesser dogs have to do to feed from a kill under control of the alpha dog. Finally, do be aware this is not typical canned food -- it actually pours out of the can. It's like very thick soup. August 4, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Too many carbs Caused my shih Tzu to have yeast issues. Stella and Chewy's Lamb got her over it though! June 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My dogs love this food. I started with this product about a year ago and it was so great the company could not keep it in stock. I just recently found out the Fromm family built another facility so they could accommodate the orders. I'm a Vet Technician and did a lot of research to get to this food. It is expensive, however I find I don't need to use as much of it as other canned food. You can switch from the Pork (My Favorite) to the Chicken every other day if you want with no GI upset!. Also, one of my little dogs is 12 years old and the other is 9 months. It's for All life stages! Love this Company. Read their History on line. They have been into Nutrition for a long time. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Quality The food is of excellent quality. It looks all natural and like something I would eat as well! My dog loves this food as well as the chicken and eats every last bit by completely licking the bowl. She's a picky girl, so if she loves it, it must be good stuff! May 22, 2016
