Description

Frontline Plus doesn’t just kill adult fleas and ticks but also slays the next generation of flea eggs and larvae. Plus, it works non-stop for 30 days on dogs. Frontline Plus has 2 tough killing ingredients. The 1st, fipronil, kills adult fleas and ticks. The 2nd, (S)-methoprene, attacks flea eggs and larvae. They work together to kill all month long. Plus, it breaks the flea life cycle. By also destroying the next generation of flea eggs and larvae, Frontline Plus gives you the power to help prevent a flea infestation on your pet. Frontline products are highly recommended by veterinarians for flea and tick control for dogs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does FRONTLINE Plus kill fleas and ticks?

FRONTLINE Plus has 2 secret weapons: fipronil and (S)-methoprene. Once FRONTLINE Plus is applied, this combo stores itself in the oil glands in your pet's skin. It then self-distributes continuously for 1 month to your pet's hair and skin through the hair follicles. Fleas or ticks that come in contact with your pet are dead meat.

How long does it take for FRONTLINE Plus to kill fleas?

In a study, FRONTLINE Plus began killing fleas 4 hours after application.1 Another study showed that within 12 hours, Frontline Plus killed 100% of fleas.2

Do fleas and ticks have to bite my pet for FRONTLINE Plus to work?

No. FRONTLINE Plus kills fleas and ticks through contact with your pet's haircoat. No biting necessary.

Why am I seeing more fleas on my pet after applying FRONTLINE Plus?

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's haircoat as they die. So if you start seeing more fleas after treating your pet, consider it a victory for the killing force.

After using FRONTLINE Plus, I still see fleas in my home. Why?

The fleas you see most likely started as flea eggs that were deposited in the environment before you began using FRONTLINE Plus. Consecutive monthly applications of FRONTLINE Plus will assist with the elimination of an indoor flea life cycle. In some geographical regions in the United States, it may be required to use the product year-round.

Does FRONTLINE Plus have an expiration date?

No. As long as you keep it at room temperature and sealed in its original packaging, FRONTLINE Plus will remain ready for battle.

How long after application can my pet be bathed or go swimming?

FRONTLINE Plus remains effective for 30 days, even if your pet swims or is bathed. After application, keep your pet from getting wet for 24 hours. If FRONTLINE Plus is to be applied after a bath, make sure your pet is completely dry before application.

Can I use it if my pet is on medication?

Before using FRONTLINE Plus, ask your vet about possible interactions with any medications your dog is taking.

Can I use FRONTLINE Plus if I have already applied another flea and tick control product?

Before using, consult your veterinarian.

Does FRONTLINE Plus kill anything else besides fleas and ticks?

You bet. FRONTLINE Plus also kills chewing lice.

Can FRONTLINE Plus be used on pets other than dogs and cats?

No. FRONTLINE Plus should be used on dogs and cats only. There are specific products based on what kind of pet you have and how much it weighs. Be sure to use the right product for your pet.

Can I apply it more than once a month?

Don't reapply FRONTLINE Plus before the month is through. It keeps working for a full 30 days.

How old does my pet need to be in order to have FRONTLINE Plus applied?

At 8 weeks your pet can start benefiting from the power of FRONTLINE Plus.

  • Didn't work as expected

    By on

I purchased the Frontline for our 13 week old puppy, knowing that this would be beneficial as we have lots of ticks near our property. Unfortunately, it did not work as planned for our energetic puppy. He would roll on his back for belly rubs and the liquid would be all over the hardwood floors. He would try to get a toy from under a piece of furniture and it would be all over the furniture. To ensure he didn't lick it and ingest it I had to follow him around and wipe it up the whole night. Since the Frontline takes 24 hours to dry, I ended up wiping it off of him before he went to bed and going to the vet for an oral tick/flea prevention that week.

  • Works and Best Price I've Found

    By on

Chewy comes through for me again. I've always used Frontline Plus on my dogs with no problem other than price. Luckily, Chewy has the best price and fastest shipping that I've found. I found Chewy to have the lowest price for Frontline products, which means I have more money to purchase treats from Chewy for my dog. It's a win-win situation. Chew has super fast shipping, the products are packed well with no damage to the contents. Thanks again Chewy!

  • Don't waste your money, fleas are immune

    By on

Bought Frontline to use on my 14 lb pup because I remembered my vet using a topical medication on him the last time he had fleas. A week later, he's still scratching himself violently and I'm finding fleas on him. The packaging says it should work within hours. Clearly, this is not the case. After doing some research, I learned that it has been years since fleas started becoming immune to the main ingredient in this medication. Taking my pup to the vet. What a waste of time and money.

  • Frontline Plus

    By on

Frontline Plus has proven to be an effective flea and tick product from my small yorkie mix dog for years. No Bugs or side effects, very easy to apply and dries on the nape of the neck quickly. Just avoid the area for a day, then give your dog a bath or brush out the neck fur. Chewy was cheaper then other companies by 5 dollars and it was at my door somehow the next day with standard shipping! As I drove down the street I saw other Chewy boxes on several neighbors porches too! Great product and great service.

  • Good stuff

    By on

Ticks are already flourishing in Virginia this year, so it is great to have this on hand. At the sight of the first tick, I got online - ordered it and it was at the house in two days. I did not have to go hunt some down. I love chewy.com. Easy to manage my auto purchase and no more lugging 50lb bags of dog food to the car!

Safe and effective. My dog is extremely sensitive and I don't like giving him medication that needs to be ingested. Front line is easy to apply and my dog has never had a flea or tic. I have use this product for over 20 years and will never switch ! We love it!!

  • Bye bye fleas

    By on

I have used Frontline for years. To me it works the best. Lately it's been so hard to find it at a reasonable price I thought I'd have to look for an alternative which is the last thing I wanted to do. Then I discovered Chewy carried it AT A MUCH BETTER PRICE! Now I have two very happy non-itching puppies.

  • Great product

    By on

Frontline is the best treatment for ticks. I've used other brands and my dogs would frequently have engorged ticks on them. This rarely, if ever happens with frontline. The price difference from other brands is well worth it, and chewy had the best price. Product arrived the next day.

  • Good Product | Excellent Services

    By on

Frontline to date has worked well for our small dog. Only small negative about the product is her hair tends to matt after applying the treatment. Comes out after the next shampoo and/or brushing. Chewy.com is an excellent service. Received product promptly and honored a coupon I received with no issues.
