Rated 5 out of 5 by Jackielou Does a great job deshedding!
My doxi used to hate brushing. After just 10 days, she usually stands nicely while I use the furminator. Now when she sits on our laps we have much less dog hair in our laps! Be sure to brush your dog outside whenever possible as there's lots of hair coming off. The only con is that the hair ejector doesn't seem to release hair as well as I'd like. (This could be because my dog's hair is fine.)

My Ozzie loves to be Furminated. He is a Jack Russell mix, which means he is always bouncing off the walls. When I Furminate him, he sits there and his little eyes just start to close. When I stop, he gives me the look that says, "Why did you stop?". Great product that really reduces the amount of fur you will find around your house and on your clothes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lanie1209 I was shocked!
I had heard about the Furmanator but when I saw the price, I wasn't about to pay that. Well, I finally broke down and bought one. My English Bully sheds like crazy and the brush I had just wasn't getting the job done. I use the Furmanator on her a couple times a day and her shedding is very light now. Even when I bathe her, there isn't nearly the amount of hair in the tub as before. The one saying, "You get what you pay for" applies here. It's a GREAT tool!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by IrishRetriever Works by cutting the hair
So I have three different FURminator deShedding brushes. I have used the original blue one on our English Setter for years and never had any issues. However, I also gave that dog a puppy cut in the early spring and then towards the end of the summer. Now on our new dog (Irish Retriever) I don't cut his hair and I noticed his long chest mane had TONS of split ends. I thought it might have been due to the FURminator however the only real way of knowing is to stop using them for months. Now 3-4 months later all his little split ends are gone. The only thing I can equate it to was the angle at which these brushes cut the hair at.
