Shedding—it seems like a losing battle that pet parents can never win. It's true that you'll never stop your precious furballs from shedding, but you can reduce the amount of hair that gets all over with the FURminator deShedding Tool. Designed by a professional groomer, this ingenious tool reaches beyond the topcoat to remove loose hair from the undercoat. It gently pulls away the dead hair without hurting your pet's skin or damaging the protective undercoat.
The Gentle Grooming Solution
When you can tell everywhere your pet's been just by the hair trail left behind, it's time for FURminator to step in. Their popular deShedding Tool won't scratch the skin, and you can even use it on the ears and tail. Instead of cutting the undercoat, it only removes the hair that's already loose. With 10-20 minute sessions just once or twice a week, you can reduce matting and bring out the coat's natural shine.
Less Hair, Less Work
FURminator deShedding Tools help you cut down on your vacuuming time by reducing your pets' shedding up to 90%. Believe it or not, the hair that you find all over the house—clinging to the furniture and your clothes, and hiding in corners with its "tumble-hair" buddies is mostly from your pet's undercoat. This hair gets trapped under the topcoat and then sheds pretty much everywhere—unless you have a handy FURminator!
The FURminator Advantage
There are tons of deshedding tools on the market, but the FURminator is recommended by vets and professional groomers worldwide because it gives real results. The stainless steel edge has special compact teeth that push through the topcoat and gently rake away loose hairs. A convenient FURejector button releases the hair from the tool so it doesn't build up on the deShedding edge. Plus, the easy-grip handle is comfortable for longer grooming sessions.

I didn't get the hype or justification behind this as it looks like any normal brush, but more expensive. Used a neighbor's on my lab/boxer mix puppy and 7 yr old greyhound/pointer. This was AMAZING!!! I have no idea what makes it different in the design but definitely use it outside and have a bag to put the hair in. It gets the under and top hair like no other. I went from havinf to sweep every other day to every few days, but can actually do it once a week if I want. I'm just to OCD that I like the floors swept at least every three days.
Best pricing is on this site too!!! Petsmart and other pet stores wanted between $43-$48 for the brush. Worth the money!!
Works as described

I have a boston terrier and have been frustrated with hair landing everywhere - clothes, floor, couch, etc...so I was curious about this product. I've been using it for about a week now and it does work as described. It helps remove hair that's loose and would have fallen anyway, and collects them until you release the lever. You can also just lift the accumulated hair easily with your fingers and throw. For my boston, I am careful not to overdo the combing - once a day is a lot - so check what works well for your breed.
Such a great help!

My mix breed rescue is a heavy shedder twice a year with a few light sheds the rest of the year. The hair was overwhelming and it was impossible to keep my house clean. I was getting a full vacuum bag a day of dog fur. The FURminator is a huge help in reducing the quantity of fur in my house. Don't get me wrong... this has not reduced the amount that my dog sheds, even with regular use. But it sure does help remove the hair outside at once rather than inside in mass quantities. Not a miracle worker, but definitely a helpful tool.
Amazing the hair it collects

I got the short hair small dog for my Jack Russells. It is amazing what hair this will get that this comb still collects after brushing. The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to be gentle when brushing. It's like a wire slicker brush. My female doesn't like as much because she has sensitive skin. My male loves it because he always likes a good scratch. Really love the push button hair release even though sometimes the hair still sticks a little. It beats cleaning out the slicker by a long shot!
Changed my dogs life...

I adopted a beautiful mixed breed (pitbull, Bulldog, lab) from the shelter. She definitely sheds quite a bit and she gets pretty itchy. I looked for quite some time to find the right brush and popped on this one. It's exspensive but BOY is it worth it! My dog was a stray prior to being in the shelter and I don't think she had been brushed much in her life... TONS of hair and dander came out. Her itching has decreased significantly. People have said to do this outside... I 100% agree.
Worked well but fell apart

I have a beagle-mix that sheds and a husband who is allergic. I vacuum and brush daily to try to minimize the shedding in the house. The brush was very good at removing and holding loose hair. I also like the way you push on the release button to remove the hair easily in one shot. Unfortunately the plastic part broke away from the metal part rendering the brush useless after a few months. I expected it to last longer for the amount that I spent.
Worth every penny

I waited a while to buy this because of the cost and I wish I bought it sooner! I have a lab mix with thick, medium length hair, and a pitt mix with short hair and it works perfectly on both of them. The amount of hair that the brush grabs is surprising every time. It also bothers them less than some other wire brushes I have that work half as well. I recommend 100%
Its worth it

I'd been holding off because its on the expensive side for brushed but I was losing the battle with dog hair. This is truly worth it and making a huge difference. I'm surprised each time I've used how much hair comes out. My dog loved to be brush with a regular brush and I don't think she likes this one quite as much but she doesn't mind it at all.
lives up to the name

My shorthair dogs have been shedding quite a bit as summer gets hotter, I tried other brushes but this one got way more loose hair and left their coats soft. I have a cattle dog mix and corgi mix with double coats which is hard to brush but this does it. On top of the fur it gets, my dogs loved the feel and wanted more. Highly recommed
Shedding Hair Not MY Dog

I have a short haired shepherd. Always found a lot of hair around the house. Brushing did not bring out hair. Got the Furminator and I never would believe she had so much loose hair. I brush her daily and it seems that I could fill up pillow cases. Never could have believed she had so much loose hair..The Furminator works great.
