Shedding—it seems like a losing battle that pet parents can never win. It's true that you'll never stop your precious furballs from shedding, but you can reduce the amount of hair that gets all over with the FURminator deShedding Tool. Designed by a professional groomer, this ingenious tool reaches beyond the topcoat to remove loose hair from the undercoat. It gently pulls away the dead hair without hurting your pet's skin or damaging the protective undercoat.
The Gentle Grooming Solution
When you can tell everywhere your pet's been just by the hair trail left behind, it's time for FURminator to step in. Their popular deShedding Tool won't scratch the skin, and you can even use it on the ears and tail. Instead of cutting the undercoat, it only removes the hair that's already loose. With 10-20 minute sessions just once or twice a week, you can reduce matting and bring out the coat's natural shine.
Less Hair, Less Work
FURminator deShedding Tools help you cut down on your vacuuming time by reducing your pets' shedding up to 90%. Believe it or not, the hair that you find all over the house—clinging to the furniture and your clothes, and hiding in corners with its "tumble-hair" buddies is mostly from your pet's undercoat. This hair gets trapped under the topcoat and then sheds pretty much everywhere—unless you have a handy FURminator!
The FURminator Advantage
There are tons of deshedding tools on the market, but the FURminator is recommended by vets and professional groomers worldwide because it gives real results. The stainless steel edge has special compact teeth that push through the topcoat and gently rake away loose hairs. A convenient FURejector button releases the hair from the tool so it doesn't build up on the deShedding edge. Plus, the easy-grip handle is comfortable for longer grooming sessions.

My English bulldog is a short haired shedder. This brush pulls the dead bottom coat out. It makes him look shinier and I am finding a lot less dog fur every where else. Little caterpillar-like wads of hair come out but stick to the brush until you release it with the button on top. Other brushes we had like this, the hair would fly away in the wind and then my bd would eat it. Not with this one... and he loooves to be brushed with it! Totally worth it!

I'll never have to buy (waste my money) on another grooming tool, EVER!! This is amazing, and my two dogs actually get jealous when the other gets brushed! THAT'S A FIRST! They both used to leave the room whenever I brought out a brush. I do suggest you hold them where you are grooming, this thing really grabs hold, BUT, if you hold and do small areas at a time, I think it actually feels good to them! My little girl was my brothers dog, then she became my Mom's dog when he passed away. I (and my dog) moved in with Mom to take care of her, and less than 6 mos. later, she passed away. (rough couple of years)... anyway, Mindy was a rescue (as is mine) and never liked being picked up or touched byI'll never have to buy (waste my money) on another grooming tool, EVER!! (rough couple of years)... anyway, Mindy was a rescue (as is mine) and never liked being picked up or touched by anyone but my brother. She's a Corgi/Chihuahua mix. Now, after a lot of patience and love, she actually loved being groomed! She was actually falling asleep! The hair that came off of her was unbelievable! She has longer, soft fur, where Troy, my Jack Russell/Beagle mix, has the short "needlelike" hair. It worked perfect on both... I'm thrilled!! The ejection action is brilliant! BUY THIS! You'll never need another grooming tool! Thank you so much!!… more
10 Stars, the best thing I ever bought!!

I bought this deshedder 4 or 5 years ago before i was a chewy customer. I thought I would loose my mind with my lab beagle mix shedding. This deshedder works GREAT!!! My dog hated being brushed so it did take a few attempts but now she really seems to like it!!! She will actually let me brush her until most of her loose under coat is brushed out. I was amazed at how much less dog hair I have in the house. I have recommended this and have let friends and family test mine on their dogs and they all love it and purchased one.

I purchased the medium-sized Furminator for my 70lb. Labrador. I was using a older large-sized Furminator that I had borrowed from a family member previously and wanted my own. I am happy that I went with the medium, because it makes it much easier to comb his legs, tail, neck, etc. This tool works extremely well at getting out his loose undercoat and dramatically decreases the amount of hair that is left in my home. I definitely recommend using this brush outdoors, because the hair goes everywhere. I would not be able to deal with the shedding if it wasn't for this tool!
Best brush for the hairiest Lab on the planet
on Oct 14, 2017
We love our Lab...but she truly is the hairiest dog we've EVER owned (and we've had labs, goldens, etc.). I'd heard of the FURminator, but had never tried it, and just took a chance...and will never use another brush on a dog! The first use pulled a HUGE amount of hair out from her undercoat...so much it looked like we had a second dog. I now use it every other day on her for maintenance, and it's fantastic. And the bonus is she sits patiently while brushing, too...she thinks she's at the spa!

I had high hopes for this, but I found that using my regular bristle brush after this one removed a lot of hair still there, so what is the point of this brush. Also felt very sharp to me on the skin.
I should have returned it but I had thrown out the packaging. Don't waste your money like I did.

I was told about the FURminator tools by my Sister, who has 3 large dogs. She showed me how well it works to get the loose hair off the dogs, and I was sold!!
I have 2 Chihuahuas, one long-haired and one short-haired. I love the fact that there are numerous sizes of FURminators for long-haired and short-haired dogs.
Does the trick on my short haired dog!

This thing is amazing, plain and simple! We have an American bulldog with a very short coat who sheds like crazy, but no brush has ever really been effective in removing much hair. The first time I used this I got about a gallon size bag of fur off of him. He seems to like being brushed with it too, just need to be careful around sensitive or bony areas because the comb is very hard and rigid. Didn't think I could be this excited about a brush, but I love it and am so happy that I gave it a try!
Excellent fur eliminator

We love this brush and so does our puppy. He's not a fan of getting brushed, but he felt so much better with all that heavy, loose undercoat fur gone after the first time that he can't wait for it now. Not only is his fur shinier, it is also smoother. I'm also vacuuming less which is a plus. It can be used any time, but the instructions suggest use after a bath and towel dry. We did find it got even more fur out then and the next day. Highly recommended for your short hair dog!
Not for coarse hair
on Oct 1, 2017
My Foxhound has short but very thick and coarse hair and this tool really doesn't do a whole lot. My parents use this on their lab mix with short, fine hair and it works great. However, this is very hard on their skin and scratches them when they are being brushed. I often see skin flakes coming off with fur on my parents dog. I'd suggest something more like a rubber brush. It's gentle on the skin and works great on all fur types.
