The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food / 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for 2 or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food / 80% old food for 2 or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you’re feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his/her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet’s body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

Where are your products made?

Petcurean dry pet foods are produced in Ontario, Canada. Our canned products are primarily produced in Ontario, Canada and secondarily at a plant in New Jersey, USA. Our SPIKE Jerky Treats are manufactured in Gainsville, Georgia and our SPIKE Treat Bars are made in Brampton, Ontario. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. • She Love's it

    By on

My 3 year old Doberman Pincher absolutely loves this food. She has some major issues if we feed her the lesser quality food, the vet gave me some suggestions on what to look for in a great dog food and we haven't looked back. Chewy is the easiest way to get here were we live, small town Mississippi. As there is no pet stores here and with auto ship I don't even have to worry.

I used Orijen and now Chewy does not carry it. They offered Orijen customers a good deal to try something new. I am a loyal Chewy customer so I did and my pups love it. It is mixed in with Orijen and they pick out the Go Fit food. It is very healthy.

  • Go! is great food, Go! Turkey and Shine limited ingrediant is better.

This is a great product and we have tried it once. I accidentally purchased this instead of the Go! Turkey + Shine, limited ingredient version because they changed their label. So if your active dog is a little sensitive to food, the Go! Turkey & Shine, limited Ingredient is better. But this is a good alternative to our favorite. Whoever gave the bad review to Chewy.com did not read correctly. ( I did the same thing.) She should have chosen the same food as always with the new labeling. I also believe giving Chewy the bad review was unfair. But this is an expensive food. Totally worth it. My brown/black/brown Shepard mix (18 months old) is shedding 10% of what she was shedding, and her hair color changed dramatically. The shine is unbelievable! She is now a brindle with blonde fur markings behind her ears, above her eyebrows, under her tail, her tummy, and back of all legs. Go! Brought out the best color. My other dogs have done well on this food for years. … more

  • Switched from Orijen and love this now!

    By on

After we switched from Orijen to Go! Fit + Free, my dog seems to have even more energy (which I didn't think was possible) and her coat is starting to feel so much silkier. We are just now finishing the first bag, and I'll keep getting this for her. She's a German Shepherd and Pitbull mix. She never got sick and never had stomach upset from switching to this brand. We love it!

  • Had to switch from Orijen

    By on

We were happy with Orijen, but when they decided not to stock Chewy.com anymore with their food, we decided Chewy. com was more valuable to us and would consider making a change of dog food. We decided on this brand, mostly because it was most like Orijen from the ingredients and didn't want to interrupt our dogs' diets too much. They made the change easily, and probably seem to like this even more! So, we now get to stay with Chewy.com for their amazing customer service and their reliability, with a new food for our boyz that they like! Thank you !

  • Changed from Orijen to Go!

    By on

I was worried about switching my dog from Orijen to Go!, but had to since autoship ended, and thought I would give it a try. It has worked out so well! My dog loves is and is excited to eat again, rather than letting her food sit out all day. I even noticed when I put the new food in mixed with her old food she eats the new food, but leaves the old Orijen dog food in the bowl. Looks like this was a great choice to switch too!

  • Not yet....

We have not had the opportunity to try this food yet thus the 3 star rating. All of the ingredients check out great and it appears it is rated very high on certain sites. I plan on slowly integrating it into her other food to make sure she can tolerate it. I am looking forward to having her try it!

  • #1 Choice!!

    By on

Our golden doodle absolutely loves this brand. We like to switch it up and get a new flavor each time and our dog thinks she's getting spoiled with new food all the time. One of our local pet stores carried it but after it closed we were glad to find it on CHEWY. Very pleased with the quality of food and nutritious ingredients.

  • Just OK but not as good as Turkey - no longer carried

    By on

I bought this when Go! Turkey was no longer available. Both are rated 5 / 5 stars on Dog Food Adviser but my dogs loved the turkey but don't care for this. Chewy may be losing a customer.
