Rated 1 out of 5 by Shelter470 Only one of three dogs would touch it and she eats anything
Oatmeal mush consistency when reconstituted. Hypoallergenic dog took one sniff and walked away. Second dog not a picky eater also wouldn't eat.

by Kathleen575 My dogs love this food.
When my 10 yr old golden was diagnosed with CHF I needed to find a food that did not add sodium. He has allergies to grains and most proteins, so I needed to find a unique single protein food without grains. I emailed every premium dog food company to find their "as fed" sodium content. Most companies were fairly high. Grandma Lucy's replied that they did not add any sodium to their food. The only sodium was that which occurs naturally in the protein source. He has been eating this food for 2 months and so far it has worked out great. He liked it so much that I put my younger golden on the same food. He also has food allergies. Since they have been eating this food their skin (dry flakey) has cleared up and their coats are smooth and silky. I don't know if your vet would approve of the food for CHF, but for me it has been a savior. Thanks Grandma Lucy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Luvmydogs Very good food but inordinately expensive to feed for a large, 135+lb. dog
Not sure I could recommend this for large or giant breed dogs. At $89 a 10lb. bag, even after being reconstituted with water, I am spending $400 plus a month for my male bullmastiff. He likes it, and it has veryvgood ingredients with a unique protein, but I could never feed multiple dogs on it, and I'm not sure I'll keep him on it for the long haul. The company needs to work out something to make it more economical for large or giant breed dog owners.

I have used the Grandma Lucy's lamb and rabbit varieties for quite a while. I tried the goat for something different...and a different protein source. The product is very good and is comparable to the lamb and rabbit. The dogs loved it!!

We have had excellent results using Grandma Lucy's Pureformance. We most often use the goat or chicken as the rabbit is a bit too rich for our 15 year old border collie mix and our new 4 month old GSD.
We also keep a bag in our disaster kit as it is easy to store and much lighter than cans should we have to leave in a hurry due to fire/earthquake/tornado.
Our dogs look forward to their evening meal with much excitement as that is the one that gets Grandma Lucy's mixed in. It is a bit on the high calorie side but as long as you monitor intake amount vs activity level, your dogs will look and feel marvelous!

I have 2 itchy allergic Labs. No surprise there! I tried this food as a recommendation of a Customer Service Representative and have had great success with it. The package reads that it makes 51 lbs of food... I don't believe that to be accurate, but you definitely are headed in the right direction!

by Elf7 Excellent product
I wanted to feed this to add some wet food into my large breed puppy's diet. The calcium and phosphorus levels arnt to high so it's perfect for him. The more wet food in their diet the better off their kidneys and overall skin and coat health is. He loves it and his poop isn't runny. It's also kind of comparable to kibble price. The 10 pound bag is actually 51 pounds rehydrated so I think its a great price to pay for a healthier puppy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VinMenon great product!
I used to feed my two dogs honest kitchen for a while but it get expensive quick and so had to find an alternative. I am glad I found this product cause if anything I feel the pieces of meat are chunky and food smells better and I can tell the ingredients quality is really good.
Their coats are really shiny and they have good energy. I switch between the different flavors and the kids love it. Will be keeping them on this permanently.
