Description

As dogs and cats age, they face increased risk of heart problems, stiffening joints and loss of zest and vigor. These health risks may be reduced by a diet consistently supplemented with readily accessible, long chain omega-3 fatty acids found only in cold water fish oils like e.g. Grizzly Salmon Oil. These omega-3 fatty acids are essential building blocks all dogs and cats need for maintaining a balanced metabolism. Scientific studies also show these fatty acids help maintain the immune system. Starting puppies and kittens out with a healthy balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids is a great way to ensure proper nutrition that can contribute to a long and strong life. Grizzly Salmon Oil supplies a daily supplement rich in EPA and DHA - the right omega-3 fatty acids. Grizzly is a natural way to protect and support the health of your dog and cat!

Key Benefits

  • Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA support general vitality and can help reduce risk of heart problems, stiffening joints, and loss of vigor. DHA has also been shown to benefit the nervous system, eyes, and for maintaining a naturally high fertility status.
  • Rich flavor dogs and cats love and helps keep their skin healthy, which in turn can lead to less itching and shedding.
  • Once opened the oil will last 8-months if refrigerated, or 4-months if not.
  • Suitable for both cats and dogs of all life stages (even though bottle states Dog Food Supplement)
  • Made in the USA!

  • Great Product! Picky dog approved! A little messy for long beards.

I have been giving my dog salmon oil as a supplement to her supper since she was a puppy, simply as a healthy omega 3 addition. Therefore, I cannot give a before/after review, but can say overall she is a healthy girl, and her coat is beautiful. It is easy to squirt into my pup's meal. The dose could easily be adjusted by number of pumps based on size of dog or dose desired. And my pup definitely enjoys the taste. My only complaint, which really can't be helped, is that the salmon oil leaves a smelly greasy residue in my pup's beard. She is a Bichon, so she has long fur. I don't imagine this would pose any issues for a short haired dog. I've considered using capsules, but it would take too many capsules to equal the dose of one pump, cost significantly more, and be much more difficult to admister. So all those pros outweigh the con. She gets frequent face washings to deal with this. … more

  • Helped my little Doxie

We have been getting this for 3 years now. I have a long haired Doxie, Charlie Brown who scratched and itched constantly from dry skin. I bought this and he get a squirt everyday with his green beans and loves its. We even tried RX meds to no avail. Now we are fine and I also give it to his big brother Snoopy who loves it also. Best find in a long time...Mary and her boys

  • Great for dandruff, dry/itchy skin, and dull coat

    By on

I give my dog and cat a squirt of this every couple of days - more often in winter - and it really helps their skin and coats. The pump bottle is nice and not too messy, and it doesn't have a strong fishy smell when sitting out on the shelf (though the oil itself smells nice and fishy, which my pets appreciate).

  • My dog didn't like the taste! :(

I tried using Welactin for my dog, which he ate pretty slowly, but it seemed to be helping his dry skin and hair loss. I was hoping he would like the salmon flavor more, but he didn't even touch it! So sad... Obviously a lot of dogs love the flavor because of the rave reviews, but I guess my dog is the exception. :(

  • My 6 cats hated it

    By on

Not one of my cats would eat this. I thought because it came from fish they would love it, not so. I tried it on their food, and had to finally throw the food out. I also tried it in a dish by itself, that didn't work either.

  • Excelllent Supplement!

    By on

I've tried other brands of Salmon oil but none were as good as Grizzly Brand. It doesn't have a fishy offensive odor like the others and my dogs love it!

  • Great Product!

    By on

I've been using Grizzly Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil as an additive to my dog's daily diet ever since rescuing her in September 2016. Her coat is so beautiful and shiny! Also, between this product and her premium diet/feed, she has virtually no "doggie" odor when coming in from outdoors! That's a really *BIG* plus!!! Besides, she just loves it! Just keeps licking and licking her bowl well after she has finished her meal. I highly recommend this product as an additive to any dog's diet. Great no-leak pump, too.

  • Great Supplement

    By on Top 100 Contributor

I noticed my dogs coat getting softer after just a couple of weeks of using this product. We use it only a couple times a week now and still have the same effect. My female dog would only eat her kibbles with a couple of pumps of the stuff when we were on a different brand of kibble! My only complaint is that it does leak quite a bit, so I keep the jar sitting in a bowl to save as much as possible.
