Frequently Asked Questions

Do your treats contain any fillers?

Grizzly’s Crunchy Training Treats contain NO fillers, glycols, salts, sugars, or grains. What we DO include are healthy, long chain Omega-3 fatty acids from wild Alaskan salmon to provide essential health and immune system support.

How many calories are in Grizzly Crunchy Training Treats?

There are 2.5 calories per treat / bite, which come mainly from protein and salmon oil, given that there are no grains in the treats.

What is the sodium content of Grizzly Salmon Fillet Treats?

We do not add any salts or sugars to our wild salmon fillets, and raw salmon is naturally low in sodium. Each lb of raw salmon contains approximately 268 mg of sodium; it takes approximately 1 lb of raw salmon dehydrated to fill one of our 3 oz bags—this results in a very low sodium content of approximately 0.3%.

  • Fish breath, and a little large

    By on

I love the natural, small list of ingredients, and I love that they contain kelp. My breeder told me that kelp can help the light pink part of a puppy's nose fill in/darken, so I wanted to make sure we fed some. I have noticed a our puppy's nose filling in, and who knows, maybe it is the kelp? My only complaints about this is that I wish I could break them into smaller pieces. They are a bit too large to use as training treats for our Italian Greyhound with his small mouth. It takes him so long to chew them that it slows down training. If you have a large dog, these would be great training treats, but if your dog is smaller, these should not be considered true training treats. • Yummy low calorie treat!

    By on

My girls absolutely love the crunchy salmon flavor and the small size means they don't add a lot of unneeded calories to their diet. They're very reasonably priced too!

  • Great treat for rehab exercises

    By on

I have a female GS recovering from THR surgery and she's going through rehab where she has to do daily stretches and strengting exercises. These training treats are the perfect little size to entice and encourage her while going through all the motions. And she loves them! And they are good for her! Can't beat that.

  • Well received by my big dogs

    By on

For big dogs, it would help if they could make a jumbo size but mine like it anyway and I was looking for healthy ingredients like what is in this. Thanks for a good product.

  • Perfect TRAINING treats!!!!

    By on

These are fantastic! They make the perfect training treats even for large dogs. A training treat should be "pea" sized. This way you dont distract the dog from the training by a large-time-consuming-to-eat treat. This way you dont ruin their dinner either or upset their tummy with too much food during rigorous training (like rolling or jumping). They do smell, but thats perfect for "distraction training" you WANT the dog to smell the treat in your hand. The ingredients list meets my 100% approval too. These have become my favorite treat...and my dogs favorite also!

My dog loves these treats but they have a really really strong fish smell. We tend not to pull these out when company is around.

  • My dogs didn't enjoy this much

    By on

I liked this product because of the ingredients. But once I tried them out for training, and both my dogs are food motivated, they didn't tend to commands like they usually do. You could barely smell the treat and I tasted one myself and not the greatest, barely any flavor. I don't feed my dogs what I wouldn't eat, so I was a bit disappointed in this product as it didn't hold a high to even medium value to my dogs as other treats.
