Rated 5 out of 5 by EarthMama Great topper for my dog's dry food
The reason I tried Halo is I have one medium size (40 lbs) Labradoodle with a sensitive tummy. She really must like her food enough to eat two small meals a day or else she has bile issues. She waits by her food bowl every morning and every night ready to eat. The size of the can is perfect (5.5 oz.) instead of a big full size can. That way the food stays fresher in the frig.

My 7 yr. old mini-poodle has had to switch from dry HALO Spot's Stew to a soft food due to recent dental surgery. I ordered this and she's been very enthusiastic about eating it. It actually has chunks of the ingredients like a real "stew", which I mash up for her because she only has a few teeth left. I know HALO is a very high quality pet food. It agrees with her system and other than bad teeth she has been very healthy on a mostly HALO diet. Chicken is her favorite.

by babydoll HAPPY HAPPY DOGGIE AND MOMMY
Well I rescued a mini prom little over a year ago. She had been badly abused. She wouldn't come in season the man said she's of no use to me and kicked her away! Since my older dog Scarlett had passed away I swore to never have another being disabled and can barely take care of me! Well one of my friends asked me to go with her to look at puppies. So we got there and it was awful! I wasn't going to pay $450.00 for a sick puppy I knew needed hundreds of dollars of care and would the rest of its life! My friend said let's go! Well Sophie Marie came up to me and with the matted hair and tearful eyes I felt like she was begging take me please! So I did!:-):-):-) after 1 year of prescription food that she hated! I tried this with the dry mixed in. I know have a healthy fluffy doggie! We are both happy and her tummy is happy too! Thanks to Halo! Susan and Sophie Marie MIlls :-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by purblebasset Consistency between 13 oz and 22 varies greatly
I was feeding my chi Halo to help her lose weight. It is one of the lowest calorie low glycemic canned products out there. My only issue is the product in 13 oz cans are firm and caused her no troubles. I decided for finances to get 5 meals from the 22oz which lasts 2.5 days, however, her stools are so soft from the switch. Same food so what gives? The 22oz straight from fridge is soft and gloppy. I've had to add 1/2 tsp of psyllium husk to one feeding/day to firm her stool. Hasn't really gotten better. Not sure what is the difference between the 2 sized cans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gummybear Great mixed with Halo dry food
Our 20lb. "Shiffon" loves Halo food. We rescued him in October 2013 and have been giving him dry Halo food for small dogs since then. About a month ago, I decided to try the canned Halo and started mixing a little in with the dry- maybe two tablespoons per meal. He absolutely loves the addition. I give him the chiicken - both dry and canned with no grains and it's so wholesome. He's been to the vet twice for check-ups and shots and the vet says he is very healthy. I attribute that to his great nutrition. Also, we keep him at just about 20 lbs so he stays trim and doesn't get overweight. Just like humans, dogs tend to develop all kinds of diseases when they're overweight. We highly recommend Halo dog food- BOTH dry and canned.
