  • Surprised by how much my dogs liked this

    By on

My dogs do not eat vegetables like carrots and green beans. I use Dr Harveys due to some medical issues my dogs have but sometimes do not have time to mix. I bought this and was amazed by how much my dogs love this. They finish their bowls and keep giving it a lick as they walk past after it is gone.

It can be hard for us to find a food free of animal products that all 4 dogs like, but they LOVE this one. The ingredients are very healthy and the dogs say it's delicious- i'll take their word for it :)

Our dog has a enjoyed this vegetarian food as a variation from an earlier salmon and potato diet. Our problem is an ongoing skin issue for our shar pei.

  • Chihuahuas love it

    By on

My two rescue chihuahuas get very excited every time I open a can of the Halo garden medley. One of them has numerous allergies, and plant-based foods seem to work better for him. Definitely recommended for pups with animal protein sensitivities.

  • My dogs gobble it up!

    By on

I was surprised just how easily my dogs converted to being vegan. They love the Halo canned dog food even better than the dry version, but they love them both. I also have noticed that one of my dogs isn't as stinky as she used to be, if you know what I mean. Great product!

  • This product stopped my dog from itching.

I have been looking for a dog food that my shih-tzu isn't allergic to and this is it! I don't have to coax her to eat it and that is a small miracle!

  • The pooch loves it, the planet loves it!

To me, it doesn't make sense to rescue an animal and then feed it body parts of other animals that were never rescued because they happen to be the wrong species. It's super backwards thinking and also incredibly unsustainable given the amount of water and land is used/degraded for said product. I'd even go so far as to argue that eating plant based sources is more natural for domesticated dogs, which are biologically OMNIvores and can thrive on plant foods, vs. the alternative of giving your dog low grade (Google 4D meat), puréed flesh of an animal they'd never be able to actually hunt/kill if given a chance. Anyway, my little rescue pup is healthy as can be and loves this food which I tend to mix in with freshly prepared things like quinoa, cabbage, sweet potatoes, peas, etc. The only thing I am not a fan of is that it's not organic. I tried the organic vegan brand of canned dog food, which shall remain nameless, and had to return it because it was so dry and would barely come out of the can with a spoon and got flung around the kitchen too many times. So the moisture content and consistency of Halo Vegan Garden Medley is spot-on and very user friendly. The smell isn't foul either like another competitor that I won't mention. … more
