Bladder stones are collections of mineral crystals that combine together in the urinary tract. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Because the food your dog eats plays an important role in his or her overall health and well-being, Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to help support your dog's bladder health. Dogs need the right balance of minerals to maintain good bladder health. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which can lead to the creation of bladder stones.

  • My pug loves this

    By on

Great product! My pug millie has had to have kidney stone surgery and is now on this special diet. She runs circles of excitement when mama pulls the can out. Her coat and skin are back to being soft and plus and her weight is back where she should be. Highly recommended to make pups with special diets happy again.

  • Works and is as desired as cat food

    By on

Keeping urine in ph range intended, love the extra water in this and it's as desired as cat food which we all know dogs usually prefer to dog food! We don't know yet if it's dissolving the small stone we got it to, but if the doctor diagnosed the type of stone properly, it should!

  • My dog loves it.

    By on

My dog must be fed a canine c/d diet exclusively. Fortunately, he doesn't seem to get tired of the Hill's c/d chicken & vegetable stew canned. He eats the canned in the morning and a mix of canned and canine c/d kibble in the evening.

  • Vet recommended

    By on

My dog prefers this over the solid form and these cans have pop tops so easier too. My dog needs the c/d formula so glad I can order and have it delivered and is cheaper this way than at the vets.

  • Casey Loves it!

    By on

Casey has been on C/D for a couple of years, now. He loves it so much, that he practically 'inhales' it! Pleases me to no end, as I know that it is helping him avoid those crystals. Must say that I am impressed, as always, with Chewy, for its selection and quick service. I ordered Casey's food yesterday(Friday) and I received it today(Saturday) and it is the weekend!! Thank you, Chewy!

  • My Dog Loves This Over The Standard Chicken!

    By on

I was glad to see this "Chicken & Vegetable Stew" option for the c/d Urinary Care formula. I know my Dog loves food andshe has been eating the "Chicken" option for years! However, it just doesn't seem that tasty. This is more like my other dogs Blue Buffalo options. She loves this! So we alternate between the standard chicken and this one. And you can tell she appreciates this one so much more, although, it is a bit more messy and the hair from her ears tends to get in it! Lilly will be 14 years old in July and she is still going strong!
