Description

Bladder stones are collections of mineral crystals that combine together in the urinary tract. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Because the food your dog eats plays an important role in his or her overall health and well-being, Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to help support your dog's bladder health. Dogs need the right balance of minerals to maintain good bladder health. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which can lead to the creation of bladder stones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our dog loves the c/d diet After our dog was diagnosed with bladder stones and had a surgery to remove four stones we were told he would need to be on a special diet. Chewy has had amazing customer service helping us find the right food, getting the vet to approve and being the best price we have found. The greatest bonus our dog loves the food! We add plenty of water to ensure he does not have the issue with stones again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Prescription diets can be tricky Our dog had a bad bout of bladder stones which were successfully dissolved with diet. In looking for a maintenance diet we tried dry plus two flavors of canned food. Our dog preferred another flavor/consistency of the canned food. We had to use additives to get him to eat this: don't know if it was the flavor or the drier, crumbly consistency.
