  • Chewy.com is the best

The prescription dog food is exactly what our vet has ordered to keep our little Sam healthy. His brother, Buddy, loves it too and there is absolutely no reason he needs this prescription food but we were assured it won't hurt him one bit. Thank you, Chewy, for delivering our pets' food right to our front door without a shipping charge. Y'all are awesome! I do recommend you to my friends.

  • Hef's Diet

I adopted a dog that had had surgery for bladder stones. I was told he needed a special diet but not advised that it was only by prescription. Boy was I surprised to find out the price at my local pet store. Then I got an email from Chewy.com. What a wonderful group of people. When they advised me it was only sold by prescription, the representatives at Chewy contacted the Vet, got the prescription and I got my bag of food -- about $7 cheaper than at the pet store. Plus it was free shipping. I didn't have to worry about a thing -- Chewy took care of it all!

  • Great Product

First of all, Chewy's customer service is fantastic! They got the prescription from my Vet and the food was shipped in a speedy fashion. My dog that needs this food tends to be very picky about what and when she will eat....she now finishes her dinner almost every night. My other little girl loves it as well. It is expensive but as another reviewer noted, buying this food and preventing more stones is a lot less expensive than Vet bills that would be necessary without it.

I buy hills prescription diet for my dog Sweet Pea because she has had kidney stones. My vet recommended this brand of food and it works beautifully. we have had no reoccurrence of my dogs issues. I also buy the Royal Canine Urinary SO prescription diet dog food and mix it with the Hills c/d Multicare urinary care chicken flavor.

  • Not what I want but is needed

Hills prescription diet is basically a bunch of fillers infused with antioxidants. We were feeding our lab blue wilderness but she got a UTI and had a high urine chrystal count so he prescribed this to prevent kidney stones...I would rather feed her this and avoid the pain of kidey stones later, i just wish there were more natural ingredients. she dosent care what she eats though and lives this food:)

  • Dog Loves This

    By on

My vet recommended that he have only this Hills c/d so that his bladder stones do not increase. I put him on this kibble and he loves it. I compared it to two other of his favorite foods, and it does have significant differences that should help reduce or eliminate the bladder stones (along with getting him outside to urinate every 2 - 3 hours, and giving him lots of water to drink). I also bought the canned c/d formula to mix with his water (1 t to 1 1/2 C water) to make a broth that he laps up enthusiastically.

  • Great food!

My dogs love this food! I'm surprised how well they've adapted to it. I would have given this product 5 stars...but there's only 1 downfall. The kibble pieces are very large. My 2 chihuahuas have a difficult time eating this. I wish it came in a mini chunk/small breed formula.

  • Works for my dog

    By on

My mixed breed has been eating food this for several years since she had surgery for bladder stones. She loves the taste, the stones have not returned, and she's happy and healthy. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but it's cheaper than the surgery and other vet bills that come with bladder problems.

  • Great product

I love the home delivery of our dog food plus the fact that we get a savings using the auto shipment!!! It's a win all around I no longer have to waste my time calling the vet's office to see if they have this product in stock or the extra drive to the office to pick it up. It now just comes straight to the front door no issues at all. I only wish I would have started doing this a long time ago.

My vet prescribed this food due to my dog getting urine crystals and bladder infections. She does so good on this food that I switched my other two dogs to it! Chewy was also super helpful working with my vet to get the prescription!
