Feeding Instructions

Adjust feeding amounts as necessary to maintain optimal weight. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian. For best results & safety practices: Gradually transition to your pets new food over a 7 day period. Exclusively feed the recommended Prescription Diet dry food, canned food & treats. Keep fresh water available at all times. Have your veterinarian monitor your pets condition.

Transition Instructions

A gradual transition to a new pet food is important to avoid digestive upset. To transition, mix your pet’s current food with the new food. Over 7 days, gradually decrease the amount of the current pet food while increasing the amount of new pet food. In some cases, your veterinarian may recommend no transition or a shorter transition time.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Customer Service Once again I needed to switch the type of food I was ordering and the customer service was amazing. The person I worked with took their time, didn't rush me, helped me track down the exact food my vet recommended and helped me understand pricing. Thank you! September 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Life Saver! After 3-1/2 years, we finally found a food that works. This was our last resort before seeing a specialist, which we really couldn't afford. We have tried everything, including raw, dehydrated raw, freeze dried, top of the line kibble, home cooking, etc. We did allergy testing and found out that flax, coconut, sweet potatoes, chicken, beef, salmon, turkey, apples, broccoli and lamb were problems (to name a few). Our poor sweet dog would either have GI upset from the food, or severe itching. Prescription food was our last resort just because of all the bad things that people would say about it. Although the ingredients don't thrill us, it works for our dog. After just a couple weeks, she no longer licks her paws constantly, she is not up all night scratching and no GI issues at all...stools are perfect. We also give a probiotic by Mercola and she is doing great!! March 13, 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by My dog has a skin allergy and this is the only food the vet recommended. I had a hard time finding it and then tried online. Chewy turned out to be the very best resource. I called and spoke to a very nice customer service rep who assured me I would get the dog food ASAP and she would contact my vet to make sure I did get the prescription. I was out of food and desperate to get it. I appreciated the response from the company and that I was not on hold for hours and hours. I would recommend chewy.com 100% February 23, 2016
