Rated 5 out of 5 by This product and company are great Can not thank you enough for making this service available. It saves me going to the pet store only to find out they are out of stock on the dog food I buy. It is also cheaper than the pet store and it comes right to my door. September 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Scientific Diet D/D is Excellent Food This D/D food has done great for our pup who had allergies. The pup likes the food and it resolved the allergy issues. August 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by He loves it! I rescued a "Bassador" (Basset/Lab mix) in August. He was constantly scratching and chewing his paws. My husband thought it was fleas, but as neither our other dog or my granddaughter's dog was displaying any symptoms, I figured it was an allergy of some sort. We went to the vet and he suggested we try a single protein/ carb food. He suggested we introduce him to a new protein, so we started the Hill's Rx diet d/d salmon and potato. I was kind of wary because of the price- what if he doesn't like it? I have never ascribed to the practice of "give it to him anyway. When he gets hungry enough, he'll eat it" But I needn't have worried. He loves it. In fact, my other dog, who has no issues and has never been fond of dry food, likes it as well. I've solved that dilemma by having my vet order a bigger bag. Both of them have benefitted from it. Their coats are both very good. And while it hasn't solved all of Toby's problem( we have since found he is allergic to mold and dust as well), he is suffering much less. And he no longer chews his paws. January 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product was Dr. Recommended. The review is great on this. My dog is a picky eater and this seems to meet her needs as well as her likes. July 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Helps with my dog's IBD This was prescribed for my dog about nine years ago when he was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Since starting on this food, he rarely has a flareup and when he does, it's generally due to other things (like a medication that upsets his stomach). I only give this four stars because if my boy could tolerate it, I'd give him something more appealing, but he likes it and it keeps his stomach from being upset, so that's the most important things. Rated 5 out of 5 by Yeast Infection We have an 11 year old dachshund. He has been suffering with a horrible yeast infection. We took him to our regular vet who put him on antibiotics for 2 weeks. It didn't seem to make it any better and they did not offer any other solutions. We struggled for almost 3 months trying everything. Nothing worked. We decided to take him to a different vet. He did a very thorough examination and took some skin samples. He had the "elephant" looking back legs and he licked until spots were raw. The new vet said we were going to attack the problem verociously. He put my dog on 2 antibiotics and a low dosage of Prednisone. Also changed his diet to Hill's Prescription D/D canned food. We have been on this new regimen for 3 weeks now. What an amazing difference! Also found out he had a staff infection which we didn't know about. Our dog is also eating the dry food and we got the treats for him which he loves. The yeast infection is almost gone #no smelly dog anymore# and his coat is shiny and pretty again. I would recommend if your pet is having skin issues please check with your vet. We and our dog are much happier! August 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is great for my dog with chicken and other food allergies. This product is the only food that my American Mastiff can eat without breaking out in food allergy "bumps" and rashes on his back and feet. It has been almost a year since she started on it and she is doing great now. June 4, 2016
