Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is saving my dog's life. Our schnauzer has IBS and cannot tolerate just any food. Her disease was caused by allergies to foods and she has tried many as she is eleven and a half years old. Finally it got to the point where her liver was failing and we built that up with the vet's help and a good food prescribed and supplied by Chewy. Then after 6 mos. she became allergic to it and almost died with the symptoms and inability to eat for a week. BUT, the hypoallergenic potato and venison kibble you sell has saved her life. She LOVES it and has not had any issues for 3 weeks. She is back to her old playful self and enjoying life again, even though this food is the only thing she can have for the rest of her life. No problems for her or us! IT is great. This company is great too as they refunded us for all of the other food we had purchased and that she could no longer consume! I have never dealt with such a fine company before and do so appreciate it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Use and pricing We got this from our Vet (considerably more $$$ than this site). We have 2 westies and, like most westies they have some skin issues and allergies. Our rescue westie lost about 1 or 12 inches of fur from the paws up. Neither dog would eat the wet version of this food but they would eat some of the dry. Thankfully, the little guy recovered his fur. Regarding the pricing of this dry food, I typically see some amount of savings by buying a bigger bag such as 16 lbs versus 8 pounds. But there is no savings by purchasing the 16 pound bag over the 8 pound bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food My dog loves this food, and it's so much more affordable from Chewy instead of some big box retailers (petco, petsmart, etc). Plus, Chewy sent us a handwritten card. They've got a customer for life!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dog loves the taste So far I can't review how this product will do for my dogs allergies. She's only been eating it for about a week, so far so good. She seems to love the taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Boo again I was given little to no information from my previous vet on how to handle my Boo's extreme food allergies. Boo is a (Chihuahua mix) Did a LOT of how to- cooking and maintaining nutrition for him. All on my own. Did that for almost a year. Certain people shouldn't think that allergen reports are just to get you to buy that high dollar dog food. The right food does make a difference. Now this food has allergens removed and put back together. Molecular level. By what I understand. His extreme itching has almost all gone away. No more hives, no more chewing feet or rubbing eyes till the hair falls off. No more Benadryl/allergy pills, His skin and coat is looking great. The biggest thing is he is looking healthy and very happy. He is strutting around and giving his sister grief again. It's a whole lot cheaper than the home cooked methods. Plus assured Boo and all his nutritional needs are met. So I am really glad this food is helping him.. not for my pocket book, I've spent thousands on this boy. But for the health of my best bud Boo. Thank you Chewy for caring enough to carry these type of product's that keep our little fur babies healthy. On second bag,, sure I'll be back Oh 2nd most important.. He loves it. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Allergic dog! My lab has struggled with allergies since I've had her. We went to the vet and he recommended this food. She's been on it for a while and where she had chewed and scratched herself raw is full of hair and she feels so much better. Very great fun to have found this food.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Undecided at this time My German Shepherd has year round allergies so we are trying to determine if it is food related. The vet switched her the venison d/d prescription diet about 2 months ago. But she has to be on it for 3-4 months to determine if it will help. Meantime she is also on steroids and just finished antibiotics. She is improved but we don't know if it's the food, drugs or combination of. One positive outcome so far is that her stool is much firmer than it ever has been.
