  • Dog Wouldn't Eat It

    By on

My vet recommended this food for my senior dog because she has had some digestive issues due to cushing's disease. She will eat anything. After about a week on this she stopped eating it and would leave most of the food in her bowl. I didn't look at the ingredients when I bought it, but I don't have a lot of faith in foods with a lot of corn and things like caramel color. Luckily, her tummy issues have stopped since she got on medication and she is happily eating her old food. I do keep a can around in case she gets stomach upset because it did help her with that.

  • Good Stuff for Degestive Care

    By on

I only use this as recommended by vet for a temporary stomach issue. Seems to help get the gut/intestines back in line. It is something I would only use on a short term basis. Do not like the fact that this product uses pork-by-products. I don't like any product that uses "by products" in general...but if you have no choice in getting your dog healthy again, you must do what you must. This food did work!

  • Dog loves this food

    By on

Milo is diabetic so it is important that he eats before he has his insulin. I switched to the turkey ID as I think he was tired of his old food and many times just took a few bites. He loves the turkey variety and cleans his bowl after his meals.

My 8 mth old Shih-Tzu had exploratory surgery and the vet had her on this. She never pooped like she does when she is on this. I ordered a case of this!!! She loves it....I roll it up into small meatballs and she eats them all!!!!

Thanks for always having I/d in stock, it's nice to have some consistency now. My dog's life depends on it! Not only does she have pancreatitis, she is blind and deaf. I only rescue disabled furbabies. Thank you Chewy!

  • Helped digestive issues

    By on

Recommended by my veterinarian...tried several other premium foods both dry and canned and this was the product that helped with his soft stool/digestive issue. Also very palatable, and his coat looks fantastic!

  • for dogs with tummy problems .. I only buy chicken not turkey but they are a good product

    By on

I also give my dog since she's a senior, Orijen made in Canada... the best .. so I mix the two of these products and very happy my 96 lb Doberman, dad from Germany where they're extra large .. she does great with ID and has a prescription from her vet. I wish it was available without a prescription .. it's great .. my dog always has had a funny tummy to throw up and as she grows older, she does best with ID CHICKEN which is the only one I give her. Try it, buy it... it's good !!

  • Improved???

    By on

Folks, I enjoyed the previous iteration, but what the heck did they do? Improved seems to be stickier and too soft for me! It was a 5 before! Can the Hill people please go back to the last formula? Thank you, Lily.

  • Digstive Care works

I am fostering a puppy mill rescue, terrified of everything, and with bloody diarrhea for over a month. Vet diagnosed pancreatitis and recommend this dog food. Normal stools in two days... It works

  • Product has excellent ingredients for digestive issues

    By on

My Irish Setter had some digestive issues with a former kibble product, and he wasn't finishing his meals. After tests indicating a possible food allergy, my vet recommended this food. For the first time since I've had my dog, he runs to eat this food. He loves the taste and cleans the bowl every time. The only complaint I have is the cost; it's very expensive.
