Hill's Prescription Diet i/d Digestive Care Low Fat Chicken Flavor Dry Dog Food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 269.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food for pancreatitis and diabetes! My dog was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis and diabetes and our veterinarian prescribed Hills I/D Digestive Care Low Fat dog food. My little guy eats the dry and I was concerned about how he would take to the new food. He had no trouble at all switching. However, because of my work schedule and the need to inject him with insulin before I go to work, sometimes I would need to encourage him to eat when I wanted him to. In order to do this, I add just a small amount of the Kirkland brand canned chicken breast and he would immediately devour his food. His levels that measured the pancreatitis went from 684 down to 62 after 3 weeks on the Hills. We are sticking with Hills because it works for us and my little guy is back to being a healthy, vibrant, energetic pup. I encourage you to try this food if your dog has digestive issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for dogs with nausea I need to thank Chewy for the flowers and card they sent after our dog had to be euthanized. Our veterinarians didn't take the time to send condolences, and they knew how devastated we have been. So thank you for your kindness. The Hills dry food was wonderful. Our dog was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma, and this was the only thing he ate in addition to boiled chicken.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! My dog is a completely different dog because of this food! He is a rescue so we didn't know much about his medical background. For years we struggled with getting him to eat his food and figured he was just picky. Finally I had had enough and we got him thoroughly checked out, turns out he has chronic pancreatitis. My vet suggested this food. Within a week of starting this food my dog is now eating every meal as soon as it is put down! I can tell he feels so much better and I wish I had tried this food sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you have to go prescription... this is a great choice. My sick baby has chronic pancreatitis and this is the go to when he's feeling bad. He doesn't have any problems digesting this food and he seems quite pleased with it...he's always had a robust appetite and this hasn't slowed him down. Of course, the cost is an issue...on a fixed income every little bit counts and this is about twice the price of the food my other baby is on. He's worth it...and it's worth it to me to see him happy and comfortable instead of sickly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from She loves it!! When one of our pups developed pancreatitis it was a nightmare. She was admitted to hospital and, thanks to their excellent care, she recovered, and we bought her home 4 days later. She now has to have a very low fat diet. Initially I was feeding her boiled chicken and sweet potato - she did not tolerate boiled rice. Once she was sufficiently recovered I sought a complete food for her long term nutrition. The Hills Prescription Diet seemed the best match for her needs, so I ordered a bag for her to try. To our delight, she loves it, and it suits her. (Please be aware, though, this is not a normal diet, you do need a prescription from your veterinarian before you can buy it.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dog loves it I was skeptical that my dog would love a low-fat, prescription food, but she loves it. In fact, when all is right with her tummy again she still prefers this food over her regular dry kibble, so I mix a little in everyday.
