  • An Excellent Product

This food has been a perfect solution to my dog with digestive issues. Really big issues! His stomach is very sensitive and we kept trying different Science Diet foods to relieve the symptoms which were diarrhea, gas and bloating. My Vet prescribed this particular diet. It's easy on his stomach, relieved the diarrhea and gas with bloating, and he absolutely loves it. The low fat version also helps with weight control and excess fat in his blood. Love it!

My name is Guy, short for McGuyver. Most people call me Butters, though. (That's from a funny show called "South Park" that my family watches.) I answer to just about anything, though. I'm a good boy! People tell me that all the time! Not to long ago I got very sick. I was very scared and thought I was dying! My parents took me to an animal ER. I had pancreatitis, and it hurt something awful! I cried and cried. But the nice ER doctor gave me medicine, and I started feeling better pretty quick. My parents took me to see my regular vet after the weekend. He told them that I had to be on a special diet. So now I get Hill's Prescription dog food--in a can!!! I used to only get canned food for a treat, but now I get it every meal! My parents and I absolutely love chewy.com! We get everything that I need -- and sometimes a few extra surprises just for me! Having my food delivered straight to the house really saves my parents a lot of time. It automatically comes every four weeks, so no one has to worry about if I have enough food anymore!!! Thanks, chewy.com! Your friend, McGuyver … more

  • Worked for my German Shepherd

    By on

This product saved my dog from having frequent (!) diarrhea. Based on the ingredients in this product, I would never buy it and feed it to my dog voluntarily. However, my German Shepherd battled with frequent diarrhea for years and after trying different foods, medications, herbs, I was willing to try anything to help him. The Digestive Care was suggested to me by my new veterinarian that I found after we had moved. I tried it and the last 6 years of his life (He passed last week at 15 years of age) were diarrhea free. I would mix half a can with his kibble every day and somehow it worked. I am very thankful for this product and would use it again without hesitation.

  • Zoey Anne love it

My vet recommended this food and prescribed it for my 12 y/o jack russell mix, who had recently had a flare up of pancreatitis. I was given this and mix it up with a little brown rice for extra fiber like her vet wanted. She now has steamed carrots for a treat and this food twice a day and I'm telling you the difference of my little ol' lady feels like a puppy again. It really helps her. I saw it would be cheaper on chewy.com rather than my vet, so saving 5 dollars a month is awesome too. Thanks chewy!! Best website ever.

  • Irritable Bowel

    By on

My 10 year old black lab was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. He was constantly making horrible retching Noises, throwing up and has lost 12 pounds. The vet recommended this food and it is the only thing he can keep down! Since eating this he's gaining weight, has his energy back and isn't stressed anymore. My only concern about it is the cost because it is costing me over $100 a week :-(

  • I recommend this item

I never thought my little boxer girl would wind up with pancreatitis This diet was prescribed by her vet. Chewey guided me through the prescription process and then guided me toward the treats that she could have that are compatible with this food. My dog is doing well, still needs follow up, but she seems to enjoy the food, both wet and dry and the treats. Thanks Chewey

  • Prescription dog food is expensive at vet.

    By on

Purchasing through Chewy.com the prescription dog food costs $2.79 a can. At the vet it costs 2 cans for $9 or $4.50 a can. That is a large savings. My Yorkie gets pancreatitis and controlling her diet helps to keep her from getting sick.

  • perfect in everyway

Was very easy to order, sent the prescription from the vet and food arrived in 2 days. I have also made a second order and arrived in 2 days. This is the best, everything fresh and as ordered and correct amounts. Save me from going to the pet store paying top dollar and wind up buying more than needed. Thank you Chewy.

  • Best Dog Food

    By on

My dog is a pug who has problems digesting food. She is almost 13 years old and as older she gets the more difficult to digest food. This food was prescribed by our Vet and it has been the best food for her. She doesn't have any digestive problems anymore and it's nutritional enough that she can stay eating it as long as she is ok.

  • Finally food my dog wants to eat

    By on

My senior dog has become sick and picky. I've tried so many different foods, wet and dry, that he soon refuses to eat. He loves I/d and the days of spoon feeding and a meal spreading over a couple of hours seems to be over.
