Dental care for your pet may be more important than you think. The accumulation of bacteria laden plaque above the gumline can lead to long term oral health issues. Recent studies have demonstrated there is an association between oral health issues and systemic general health issues affecting the kidney, heart and metabolic systems. At Hill's, nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to keep your dog's teeth clean and help control the oral bacteria found in plaque.

Key Benefits

  • Unique kibble shape and size cleans the tooth surface by scrubbing away laden plaque in the mouth to promote systemic health
  • Special fiber matrix technology is clinically proven to reduce plaque, stain and tartar buildup
  • Fights bacteria-laden plaque, reduces bad breath, and promotes overall health
  • Added antioxidants to control cell oxidation and promote a healthy immune system
  • Awarded the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) Seal of Acceptance for helping reduce both plaque and tartar accumulation

  • I would hate to see the large bites

    By on

I purchased this for my Frenchie because they have bad teeth sometimes and a hard time chewing. These "small bites" are huge! About the size of a quarter. That is not a small bite. So I can't say how they perform. I am feeding to my labs as treats

My Vet introduced me to this product after one of my dogs had their teeth cleaned. He suggested to give it as a treat to help keep their teeth clean. I have 2 little dogs, and 1 German Shepherd, they all love it. So I will be proactive and Keep on Keepin on this routine.

I use the Hills Prescription t/d small bites as treats - twice a day. My dogs have been on this for several years and love it! They always look forward to their after potty reward. Chewy offers a great price and ships super quickly. I am so glad I found the small bites here! Happy, happy happy!

  • Multiple benefits

    By on

My veterinarian recommends this product for our 7.5 pound shiipoo for treats and/or regular feedings. The TD's work to clean teeth, as a treat for good behavior and have been used as a substitute for regular dog food because of the excellent nutritional value they provide. Our dog loves them and they are all we need!

I have 2 dogs on separate special diets who insist on eating out of the same bowl. To fix that we use this as a treat. It works wonderfully to help keep their teeth clean .

Only downside is even though they are small bites it's very difficult for them to chew I just cut in half and that does the job,.

  • Great prioduct

    By on

I give it to my dog as a daily treat to keep his teeth clean after his recent cleaning at the vet. Large size kibble is perfect for a medium dog to use as a treat. He loves it!

  • Not small bites!

    By on

We have only been using the food for a week. We bought it on vet's recommendation because our 10 year old 3 1/2 pound Chihuahua has lost many teeth. She can still chew but these bites are too big for her. She seems to like it (she takes the big pieces and hides them) and she can eat it if I cut the chunks in half. I am just going to use it as a supplement to her regular food. Don't know if we recommend it yet or not...
