  • Dog does not like it.

    By on

I bought this for my one and half years old GSD since it says it is good for sensitive stomach & skin. I opened it with high expectation and thought my dog would love it. However, it smells like a can of mesh potato and starch... No smell of salmon at all(does not look like the picture showed on the website either). I would not eat it myself, let alone my picky dog- he smelled it for a second and walked away. I had to mix some other meat or treat to let my dog finish it. Also, they are sold in a 12-can package. So if your dog does not like it, you have 11 cans left in the fridge forever...I do not recommend this to you unless you made sure your dog likes it.

As far as buying the product -- price and shipping, had not problem and will recommend. However my dog stomach's not liking the product, need to find out how to return =( it is not your fault. My dog has had issues with many different brands due to her sensitive stomach.

  • Boxer's sensitive stomach

    By on

My boxer experiences upset stomach and gas so I tried this sensitive stomach and skin food. So far so good. I am mixing it with his regular beef and barley canned dog food, about half and half.

  • My dog eats every crumb

    By on

We just adopted a senior dog - not sure of his exact age - somewhere between 11 and 13. He had major hernia surgery before we adopted him and we were told to keep him on a diet for sensitive stomachs. He came with a couple cans of food which he would only eat if he were really hungry. The vet suggested we try Hills and we've been very pleased. Hunter can't wait for his food and polishes the bowl (we use a mix of wet food and the Hill's sensitive stomach dry food)

  • Great choice!

    By on

My one dog who has a particularly sensitive gut gets very ill on foods that do not agree with him (worst case scenario), or tends to have very bad gas on some foods which only disagree mildly with him (mediocre scenario). Hill's Science Diet "Sensitive" has allowed me to feed my dog a food he gets excited about without creating any adverse reaction (best case scenario)! I would definitely recommend trying this food if you have a dog in similar circumstances.

  • Disappointing

    By on

I have two dogs, one of which has been diagnosed with pancreatitis. The other has a sensitive stomach. My sensitive-stomach dog won't touch this particular type of food. But she is very hard to please with just about anything. My pancreatitis dog eats it, but reluctantly. They both do much better with the turkey or chicken stew prescription brands.

  • Good price, so-so product

    By on

A little dry and processed in appearance for my preference. I still need to combine with water in order to mix well with kibble. My dog will eat this, but sometimes does not finish. Also gives him a little gas which surprised me for a sensitive stomach formula food. Next time I will spend a little more money and get something that looks more like actual salmon.

  • So far so good!

    By on

We have tried everything for our beloved Weimeraner - from refrigerated, 'fresh' dog food to homemade rice/chicken/veggies. He has had issues with everything. But after 2 weeks on this canned dog food he has shown some tolerance for the food. He is definitely showing improvement and I am so happy that we may have found a solution. Only time will tell.

  • Great Product!

    By on

Our 8 year old dog is more active than she has been for a long time and her coat is very soft. She isn't eating as much, thus she has lost weight...a good thing. She was a little overweight. I only give the two dogs a spoon full with their dry dog food, which gives them a little bit of a treat as they eat. The 8 year old plays with our 2 year old now, whereas before, she wasn't interested. She is much more active. Thank you for a great product!

  • My dog really enjoys this and it seems to calm his stomach

    By on

I have a dog that I got from the Human Society. They had him on stomach sensitive dog food from the beginning which I thought was odd since he was still a puppy. But I found out that he had a lot of gas issues so I think someone must have decided he needed food a little easier on his stomach. I tried Hill's Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach & Skin Grain-Free Salmon & Vegetable Entree Canned Dog Food over the Christmas break and he is doing well and seems to be less gassy and is not shedding near as much as normal (not sure that is a benefit of this food but a very welcome benefit for our home).
