Rated 5 out of 5 by Zil77 Best food for my pup
My dog isn't a picky eater but there is definitely a difference in enthusiasm when I give her this food versus other foods I've fed her. She LOVES this food. She has already lost a few pounds after gaining a lot over the summer and she looks healthier and is happier.
Delivery was quick and it was definitely more affordable than shopping at Walmart/target or your general pet store!

Rated 5 out of 5 by cissy So convenient
We live one hour from shopping. Chewy delivers food for both my dogs, wet and dry, and their flea medication to my door. The shipping is fast and all my orders have been correct. I will never shop in town again for pet supplies.

Rated 1 out of 5 by dogs101 This is not good dog food
I am very disappointed in this dog food. My dogs had been eating another brand and the ingredients in Hills do not compare. My dogs would not eat the Hills except out of desperation and then had allergies to the ingredients. The reason I tried Hills was on recommendation from the vet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DoggieDad Meets feeding schedule of both of my dogs very well
Our family has both a puggle and a fox terrier/beagle mix. Our veterinarian has told us that our puggle has an ideal weight of around 20 pounds. When we adopted him, he was about 22. We were able to control his food schedule to get him down to 19.5. Before the Science Diet Light we were feeding him another brand of food higher in calories and having putrid gas problems. "Silent but deadly" is what I would call it. He is not all that active but we have been able to keep the weight off of him and almost completely eliminate the gas problem. Puggles are known to have appetites and he is no different. Our smaller fox terrier/beagle mix is typically more active. She is full-grown at 8 pounds over 1 year. We decided that feeding her the same Science Diet Light was a good idea based on its nutritional content and her satisfaction with the product. With her small frame, her weight seems ideal and we feel confident that feeding her this product will maintain this and meet her nutritional needs

Chewy deliver promptly the same food I was driving to get. Saves time, money and keeps a supply on hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kath0031 When you need a lower fat dog food- My dog had pancretitis
I needed a dog food with low fat. My little dachshund had a nasty bout with an illness called pancreatitis. This is a condition that in dogs may be related to not being able to tolerate higher levels of fat in the diet. The problem cause inflamation of the pancreas resulting in pain and vomiting and dehydration.
Two weeks after the initial problem, the vet had us slowly restart her past diet. She again seemed to be having problems, having pain again. At that time the vet said to get her on a low fat diet permanently..
Looking at dog food websites, Hills made it easy to find a lower fat diet. They provided a dry weight percent fat which made it easy to compare the fat amounts in each variety. For that information, I am very thankful.
The Adult Dog light food, is the one I chose. The fat percentage of dry weight is less than 10% as I recall.
Initially, we supplemented the diet with cooked chicken and canned pumpkin and she gained some weight back. She has maintained her weight. (She was never overweight to begin with) She likes the dog food.
She is a the happiest and sweetest dog on earth. I am very thankful that the diet has helped her. She is healthy again.
