  • Lab who eats everything would not eat this

    By on

I purchased this through Chewy and went for the huge 30lb bag, knowing my dog eats anything and everything. My mistake!! My 1yr Labrador refused to eat it and left her food bowl full all day :( The kibbles are very large and very very crunchy. I think my dog hated how much effort it took to eat instead of inhaling her food like usual (yes, she's a diva). Tried softening with rice & pumpkin and some broth but nope. back to Pure Vita, which sadly Chewy will not carry for much longer. It came highly reviewed by friends and our vet for her skin issues. However, I had to donate the remaining bag because she stopped eating altogether....moral of the story, start with a small bag to start!! My 4 month old Rottweiller puppy was having continuous diarrehea. We tried everything, we took her to the vet, pumpkin and rice added to her diet. Nothing worked. Then the help line at Chewy.com suggested switching her food to Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and Skin. No further gastronal troubles for our girl. I rate it a 5.

  • Science Diet Sensitive stomach and skin

I read how horrible SD dog food was with their terrible ingredients,so I switched and tried all the grain free meat filled dog foods and found out that my dogs were at their best on SD .I have a German "shedder. "Her coat is in better condition and she sheds less on SD. My other dog doesn't scratch on this food. I feel their reseach has proven itself for us.

I have had to give one other Greyt of mine Hills sensitive stomach and highly recommend it if you have a dog that spits up their kibble, sensitive to type of foods. It is a miracle worker. Some vets want to give steroids to pet Strongly suggest trying this first. I did and it did the trick.

My dog is 12 and every year she would get these hot spots, she would dig and rub her back everywhere. Since we started her on the science diet sensitive stomach and skin, she no longer gets the spot, her hair doesn't fall out and she even smells better. She has been on it for a little over a year now and I wouldn't buy her anything else! This works!

  • Really means what the label states!

Scout was scratching uncontrollably. Her tummy skin had darken, her tummy was void of fur, and she was vomiting almost nightly. We changed her diet, again & again. We tried steroid shots. No success. This brand and formula was recommended by Scout's new veterinarian. She's been on this diet for almost a year now. Scout is now a very happy, non-itchy, no belly aches, & furry pink tummy, yellow Lab. Oh, I almost forgot. All our local pet & feed stores quit stocking Hill's Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach and Skin dry dog food. Thank you Chewy.com for home delivery! We love you, Scout's Mom :)

  • Great price and service

They say they are cheap.well they really are. This costs me 8.00 more at Petsmart for the same bag!! With the autoship it shows up at my house. BONUS: don't have to wrestle it in the store to the car and to the house!! Definitely worth it!

My German Shepherd has a sensitive stomach so this food was suggested to us, and since we started using it over a year ago, he hasn't had trouble with digestion since. It's great!
