Description

Himalayan Dog Chew is a very hard chew. Although cheese, it is sometimes popularly referred to as Concrete, Glass, Wood and Metal. Depending on the size and eating habits of the dog, this is a very long-lasting dog chew. Dogs must work the end of the treat for hours, softening it with their mouths before small parts of it can be slowly scraped off.

Himalayan Dog Chew is 100% natural with no preservatives. It is an authentic type of cheese eaten by the people of the Himalayas. When you give this chew to your dog, you know that you are providing them with hours of high quality eating entertainment.

Key Benefits

  • Made from 100% yak and cow milk, salt, and lime juice, and takes hours of chewing to soften it enough to scrape a tasty bite off
  • All-natural treat, no binding agents, and is grain & gluten free
  • Great for removing plaque and promoting oral health
  • Low odor and non-staining
  • Fully digestible and a healthy treat

  • Excellent Long-Lasting Chew

    By on Top 100 Contributor

These chews do last a long time, and our dog loves them. Some last longer than others. Not sure if some are harder/cooked longer or if some are more fresh and extra enticing ..but they are cheaper than a day at daycare. If I had to buy one of these everyday our dog had to go to daycare, that would be ok with me as it's $10 cheaper than a full day and puppy daycare. Haha. I like the fact that nothing goes to waste because when it gets down to a nub you pop it in the microwave and have a large cheese ball...basically. So you aren't just throwing away the left overs like with other chews. She has perfect breath and I think these contribute to that. It does not smell like dog breath, just saliva These chews do last a long time, and our dog loves them. Some last longer than others. We purchase the largest size , which seems to last the longest for Naia , even though she is only 60 pounds. I definitely reccomend giving a yaky stick a try! … more

  • Healthy and tasty. My dog loves them

Great natural chewing alternative to rawhide bones (which are not healthy for dogs). I do have to take away from my dobie as she'll go through 1/2 a bone in an hour if I let her. She chews on it till her gums bleed, that's how much she loves them. These last longer than other chew bones and such I've purchased as well, such as pizzle sticks.

  • Minimal ingredients & very tasty!

My husky loves this. However, I only let him have it for 10-15 minutes because it contains a little over 700 calories (that's almost his daily caloric intake), so pet parents wanting to watch their pups weight, be warned this is very caloric! I like how this product only has a few ingredients.

  • Dog loves it, but...

It took a while for my dog to get into this treat, but once he did it was gone in under an hour. My dog is a jindo mix and loves to chew! I was hoping this would last him a bit longer based on previous reviews. 3 stars because my dog truly did love this, but it just wasn't strong enough :/

  • Great for chewing!

    By on

My greyhound isn't much of a chewer and tires of bones and toys quickly. He will never put this down if I don't take it away. I know that it's good for his teeth to be chewing and this bone definitely gets him chewing! I have a hard time finding natural things to feed my dog with all the weird ingredients out there, so this is definrely a win for both of us. Nnamdi is a 75 pound large breed dog and the XL chew is perfect for him. Recommend chewing outside can get messy.

  • Not as long lasting as expected

    By on

I introduced this chew to a 13 month, black lab puppy. I took it away from her after 2 trials lasting for a combined 3 hours because she had eaten nearly 3/4's of it. She loves it! I wish it could keep her busier longer.

  • Not for powerful chewers

    By on

Thought this chew would last a few days with my golden doodle. Only lasted 1 day. My dog is a powerful chewer. Will have to find a substitute that will last longer. He seemed to really enjoy this chew.

  • An acquired taste..

    By on

My Cocker/Lab mix (a Spanador) loves to chew, which is why I'm surprised he hasn't picked up the Himalayan. Pizzle sticks, bully sticks and other long-term tricks keeps him busy, but this one -- even dressing it with some peanut butter -- provoked no interest. Too bad because it looks like to could last a long time which was my reason for purchase. Maybe in time.....

  • My 6 month mini aussie loves these

    By on

I used to give her bully sticks but they smelled sooo bad and got slimy. I saw the Himalayan dog chews on Shark Tank and thought we'd give them a try. My fur baby LOVES them and so do we. No smell, no slimy ends. They do leave a little mess like saw dust but it dries and brushes away easily. We've ordered them twice but only wish the 35 # ones came in larger quantity.

  • This will keep your dog busy!

My pup went through the first Himalayan bone in two hours. I was surprised, as I thought it would last longer. She seemed to savor the second bone a week later; lasted two days.
